This is a political map of the Inner Sphere and the Clan Occupation zone after the Battle of Tukayyid (3052).The Clan Invasion began in 3049 and the fact that they made a one year lasting pause in which the Clan Khans went back to Strana Metchty and voted for a new ilKhan , gives you an impression of the Clan's strength as they rushed 200 light years into the IS in only 2 years.
This map is valid up to the year 3058 , as the Steiner-half got seperated from the Federated Commonwealth (it became the Lyran Alliance , the Davion-part of the FedCom kept it's name although there's only the former Federated Suns left)
The other important event of the year 3058 was the Liao/Marik offense in which the Free-Worlds-League and the Capellan Confederation invaded the March Sarna .It was part of the Capellen Confederation and conquered in 3028 by the Federated Suns .Liao and Marik recaptured nearly all the planets they lost in this war.

In Operation Bulldog Clan Smoke Jaguar's forces in their
occupation zone have been completely destroyed by the Star League
forces lead by Precentor Martialum Anastasius Focht and Victor
Steiner - Davion.The Nova Cat forces did not fight the SLDF ,
they only offered symbolical resistance and were integrated in
the SLDF.It is assumed that an important Nova Cat warrior or one
of their Khans had a vision that let them act like this.
The space around Terra that is marked in black ,are the Chaos Marches.It is a kind of no man's land.There are several minor states and alliances between a small number of planets.This is a result of the war in 3058 as the FedCom concentrated on the Clan occupation zone , afraid of the Clans continuing the Invasion , they were not able to stop Marik and Liao. Several planets saw their chance to become independent from the FedCom , they also hoped they could organize a better defense in a minor state or alliance ,as it was obvious the FedCom's defense was too late and too weak.But as Marik recaptured all his planets he stopped his troops which forced Liao also to stop his invasion.This saved the minor states and alliances and also the whole IS as the FedCom got ready to strike back . Another war would have weakened the IS that serious that it wouldn't have been able anymore to defend itself against the Clans.
Here the position of the Kerensky cluster and the homeworlds .Such detailed maps of the Periphery and the Clan homeworlds are not available in the whole Inner Sphere.Their route to Huntress , the capital planet of Clan Smoke Jaguar is the only information the Inner Sphere has about the Clan space.They used it well , as Task Force Group Serpent invaded Huntress and destroyed the Smoke Jaguar forces and any military facality on the planet.Now , after Operation Bulldog and the strike against Huntress the SLDF accomplished their aim to completely destroy Clan Smoke Jaguar.
