Intro...
Ever since the beginnings of Nintendo's Karting Capers on the SNES, Mario Kart has been a huge hit that has seen release on N64, and more recently GameBoy Advance. The GameBoy Advance version, dubbed Mario Kart: Super Circuit, features attributes common to both the SNES and N64 versions. The 32-bit power of the GameBoy Advance handles the in-game demands easily, and I am happy to say that this was the first, and so far the best title I own for the GameBoy Advance to date.

Gameplay
There are 20 Super Circuit tracks, plus the 20 original SNES tracks to unlock, that's 40 tracks in total! The game also features a time trial mode, and a quick race mode. PLUS absolutely amazing multiplayer action. You can race against 3 friends (or enemies ;) in either the normal tracks or multiplayer levels. This game is sooooo adictive, annoyingly so. You'll often find yourself karting for ages, then you'll put it down and walk away, within 30 seconds you'll find yourself reaching for Mario Kart Super Circuit once again for more fast paced racing action.
The replay value is great also. With three difficulty settings (50, 100, or 150 cc) to work your way through, 20 SNES tracks to unlock, plus heaps of fastest times to beat in Time Trial mode. And lets not forget multiplayer! This is incredable :D

Graphics
Graphics are stunning. The 3D rendered sprites of all 8 characters come from the N64 version. Animation is very smooth and there is no lack of frames anywhere in the game. Even though there is alot of detail, the frame-rate is still very high. This means there are absolutly no glithes. Overall graphics are bright and colorful and very slick!

Sound
Sound is awesome. My favourite music is in Peach Circuit of Mushroom Cup, this song features funky slap bass to give an adrenaline pumping action mood. You'll find the music has this effect throughout the games entirety. For instance, on "spooky" tracks like Broken Pier, encompanying "spooky" music plays.
Sound effects are are also great. All items sound excellent, The engines also sound unique to the different characters, as does the kart's horn. When ever you hit someone with an item, or are hit yourself, you're caharacter has a sampled voice that adds alot to the game.

Controls
These controls are very responsive. Understandably your first few races will be pretty wobbly, but soon enough you'll be flying around those tracks like a pro! There are heaps of techniques to master for the experienced, plus each character handles differently. It's just a matter of finding the best one that suits you. (My personal favourite is Toad.)
