Intro...
Over the past few years, GameBoy has seen many excellent RPGs. These include titles like Zelda and the Pokemon series (I know alot of you hate Pokemon, but you have to admit, it is very adictive!)
Although there is an abundance of GameBoy RPGs, we seldom see a completely new title, they are usually a sequal of somesort. That is until now!
Golden Sun is an all new epic adventure, and it's sure to be a blast! Nintendo and Camelot have joined forces once again to produce this game so it's garenteed quality (If your wondering, Nintendo and Camelot made Mario Golf and Mario Tennis, both excellent games). Anyway, enough chit-chat lets look a little more indepth...

Gameplay
This is pure RPG. Without giving too much away: You are set on an epic quest taking you all over your fantasy world fully of enemies and puzzles to defeat. As you go, you obtain "Pokemon" type creatures called "Djinn". These Djinn can be used to fight or to give you special powers called "psynergy". Djinn can also be used to summon huge powerful attacks. This game has the perfect plot for this adventure. I must say all-in-all it has all been done before, so the gameplay loses a bit because of originality, or lack of.

Graphics
*Pinch* Owww! No I'm not dreaming, this is real! These are absolutely stunning graphics. Everything is in a very neat anime style, featuring bright colors and great visual effects. Each town along your quest has it's own theme, and each continues to amaze! (In fact these kind of graphics wouldn't look out of place in a PSOne game!)
The in battle scenes are just as perfect. The GameBoy Advance's Mode-7 graphic capabilities are use to the max. Rotating battle sequences, and awesome attacks look great. They truly have to be seen to be believed.

Sound
Fully achestrated symphany music features as Golden Sun's sound track. The music sets just the right mood for the moment. I cannot find any flaws with the sound, untill we get to the sound effects...
The sound effects are great and up to standard, it's just that I think they could be a little better. Don't get wrong, the sound is great, I'm probably being a little too harsh ;-)

Controls
The controls are both natural feeling and easy to learn. The left and right shoulder buttons can be set as shortcuts for different functions. This comes in very handy.

Final Comments
This game is pretty much flawless. Go and purchase Golden Sun immediately! This truly is a must have for all RPG fans. If your not an RPG fan you may want to check it out first, because this game is RPG to the core! Truly amazing.
