The show opens with clips of the GFW Resurection press conference. We see Dick Gazinya claim in front of a podium that the GFW will reemerge stronger than ever while the competition will fall at his feet. From there the cameras black out as the GFW logo appears by a single ray of light that shines across it. We cut to inside the War Memorial as fifteen thousand plus screaming fans fill the arena. The camera scans around the GFW ring which is covered with a red carpet and a podium as the camera eventually heads up the rampway where Dr. Williams and Nester DeFranco sit at the commentators table beside the entrance curtain. We come in closer as our announcers welcome us to tonights event.
Dr. Williams- Welcome ladies and gentlemen to GFW Resurection. I am your commentator for this evening Dr. Evan Williams alongside with my colleague the Nesterman, Nester DeFranco. So how about it Nester? Some night we have planned?
Nester- You know it Doc. Tons of great action. We'll crown a new GFW X champion by the nights end and we have a hell of a main event. GFW champion Rod Gazinya defending against former champion Sykotic. That should be a great way to cap off tonights festivities.
Dr. Williams- Also other action will go down as it is ego versus ego. Mr. Fabulous taking on The Sensational One. I personally can't wait for this encounter.
Nester- Well to tell you the truth, both of these guys have championship material written all over them. This is gonna be a fight to the end and the winner should have some good things in store for them.
Dr. Williams- But, first we have former nWo superstar and former nWo Television champion Johnny Vain here tonight. Dick Gazinya will officially have him sign his GFW contract in that very ring.
Nester- Well the nWo sure dropped the ball. What is the nWo's loss is the GFW's gain. Johnny Vain just came off from headlining their last pay-per-view and is an undefeated nWo Television champion. I'm glad we got him on our side.
Dr. Williams- With that in mind, lets head down to ringside.
Dick- Welcome Dick-Heads to the GFW!
The fans go nuts while Dick waits for the noise to simmer down.
Dick- Now we have hardly been gone two months but, I can tell you fans haven't missed a beat. And to tell you the truth, neither has the GFW. We have a great night of action for you fans here tonight but, first thing is first. We are gonna bring out Johnny Vain for his much anticipated contract signing.
The fans rise to their feet as 'Saturday Night Special' blasts throughout the arena. Johnny Vain steps out on stage wearing black jeans, a black 'JV' t-shirt, cowbow boots and his trademarked cowboy hat. He nods to the beat of his theme as he heads down to the ring. Dick walks over to the ropes to hold the rope down for him to enter as he then shakes his hand. The theme fades as Dick raises the microphone to his lips.
Dick- Now unless you haven't watched wrestling in the past month and a half, you should know just who in the hell Johnny Vain is. He is a legend in the making and unfortunately a victim of the corrupt nWo politics. You see for some odd reason Vain was stripped of his TV title in the nWo after the nWo claimed he had some sort of allegiance with yours truly. Well other than my utmost respect and praise from my 'Dick Says' internet column, there is no allegiance here. As a matter of fact I never met with Johnny Vain until after he was stripped of his title in the nWo. Now I'm glad Johnny, that you have seen the light. The nWo is a grubby corporate empire with no regard for anyone who isn't on the inside of their clique. Here in the GFW you will get your paychecks on time and you will see all sorts of action and competition that the nWo could only dream of. On behalf of the GFW, I'd like to be the first to publicly welcome you aboard.
Johnny nods as he asks for a microphone. One is tossed to him as he begins to rile the crowd up.
Johnny Vain- What's up Syracuse?
The crowd cheer as Vain continues.
Johnny Vain- Now Dick....you can't welcome me yet. I haven't signed on that dotted line yet. But, I will....you don't worry about that ya hear? First, I'd like to talk about my short career. You see, I broke into this business by accident but, I gotta tell you I feel at home in a wrestling ring. I learned a lot in my couple months in the nWo. I beat the best but, I hardly saw a dime. Now I know you'll come through on your word. My consultant Mr. Keith Strong is a good man and he very much agrees with these terms in regards to my departure from that there Netlink trash hole. You give me that contract and I'll sign my pretty little name on that dotted line.
Dick smiles and hands the clipboard to Vain along with a pen. Vain quickly scribbles his name and hands it back to Dick as the fans cheer. Dick takes the microphone after shaking Vain's hand once more.
Dick- Welcome aboard Johnny. Now since even though it wasn't my fault....I still do feel responsible for the nWo stripping you of your title. You are the rightful Television champion. But, what do you know? We have a Television championship right here in the GFW. That's right. Calvin Johnson holds that belt. And out of an act of kindness, I am going to give you the first crack at that title on the return of Tuesday Night Prime! How does that sound?
The crowd errupts as Johnny nods in approval. Suddenly 'Do you smell what the Cal is cooking' blairs over the arena. Calvin Johnson steps out onto the rampway dressed in a killer gray suit and sunglasses with his GFW TV championship over his shoulder and a microphone in his hand. He signals for the music to cut as he begins to speak to the men in the ring.
Calvin- Well if it isn't Johnny Vain? The dirty trailer park livin' scumbag from down in good ol' Texas! That's right Vain, I'm talking to you. Now you may have had it easy out there in Ichabod land but, this is the GFW. I am a GFW triple crown winner and I am the most charismatic superstar in this company. You want your shot at the gold? The Cal says just bring it!
Calvin motions for Vain to bring it as Vain heads to leave the ring. Dick stops him as he speaks into his microphone.
Dick- Whoa....hold it right there. He's just trying to entice you. Save it for Prime.
Calvin- What are you gonna do? Listen to him? The Cal says just bring it redneck!
This time Vain doesn't hesitate. He rushes out of the ring and runs up the ramp where he meets with Calvin Johnson. They slug it out as the GFW TV title falls down to the ground. Dick watches on as he then leaves the ring and heads up the ramp while Calvin and Vain fight it out. Dick snatches up the TV title as he stands at the top of the ramp. He puts the title on his shoulder as he interupts their fight with a tap on his microphone. They stop and look up as Dick speaks.
Dick- When I saw this belt drop onto the ground I had a really good idea. I'm gonna take this belt with me because at Tuesday Night Prime this title will be decided....in a LADDER MATCH!
The fans go nuts as Dick leaves for backstage. Vain and Calvin look at each other then continue to slug it out until officials rush out to break up the mess. We head up to our commentators.
Nester- Wow, what a way to start things off here tonight. Now we have something to look foward to at Prime already.
Dr. Williams- Well lets not forget we have a lot to look foward to tonight. Once they clean that ring up of that red carpet we are gonna officially start off tonights event. We have four X title matches. Each winner will move on to another match later tonight to compete for the X title in a fatal four way tables, ladders and chairs match!
Nester- That is when things are really gonna heat up. But, remember Giant Gazinya is the rightful champion. He was stripped of the title due to his amatuer obligations but, there is no telling when he may return.
Dr. Williams- Well we have some old names, some new names and we are gonna gets things started off right now!
Nester holds his hand up to his headset as it seems he is recieving some information. He waits a second before addressing the Doc.
Nester- Well apparently AlanWood and Tommy Duke Barrett have both not arrived to the arena. They were to open tonights event but, that's okay. We're gonna move on and the fatal four way may just turn out ot be a triple threat. So kicking off tonight at Resurection is the first match, in the first round of the X Title Championship Tournament. XTJ as he goes up against the new signing of Twisted.
The Doc- I'm so happy to be back here in the GFW, just a shame I get stuck with you Nester.
Nester- Likewise!!
'Voices in my head' by Bizzy Bones kicks up over the PA system as Lunatic Security walks down and surounds the ring. The lights go out and a red strobe light flashes as smoke shots off donw the ramps. Stacey comes out and the light slows down as smoke rises at the entrance and Twisted appears. Walking down the isle Twisted shakes hands with the fans then runs to the ring where he waits for his opponent.
The Doc- Twisted sure looks ready but, he gets to face off with GFW mainstay and former co holder of the GFW tag team titles, XTJ!
Silver Pyros goes off, a pyro explodes in the front of the entrance as 'Bounce' by System of a Down starts in the arena. Jeff comes out and comes down the ramp while shaking hands of people before he comes in the ring as his music fades.
Nester- Let's get this one under way!
Twisted runs at XTJ and nails him with a clothesline. He picks him up and sends him to the ropes, Jeff comes back off and nails a hard cross body on Twisted. He goes for the cover....1...Kick Out!!
The Doc- XTJ trying to end this one quickly.
Nester- It's gonna take alot more to finish of Twisted.
XTJ gets up and immediately goes to work by pummeling Twisted who just tosses the youngster off. He nips up and rushes at XTJ kicking him in the stomach, XTJ coughs trying to get back to his feet but, Twisted is relentless. He sends Jeff to the corner and charges nailing him with a Avalanche!
Nester- He's just squashed XTJ!
The Doc- The Kid is only 16!!
Nester- Shhh....we don't need the labor board contacting us!
Twisted moves around and taunts while XTJ collapses to his knees. Twisted goes over to XTJ and picks him up, he shouts at him before tossing him to the outside. Twisted follows out, he picks XTJ up and Irish whips him into the barrier. The fans grab at XTJ while the security try and force them back. Twisted picks XTJ up again and sends him crashing into the steel steps!!
Nester- Holy Shit!! XTJ is getting destroyed!!
The Doc- Twisted is mental!!
Nester- He was in a mental asylum!!
The referee slides out of the ring and tries to force Twisted away from Jeff. Twisted backs off but, gets a steel chair from the bell ringer, he goes towards XTJ.
The Doc- Come on ref!! Get that chair away from him!!
Nester- He's snapped!!
The official manages to get the chair away from Twisted but, he takes down XTJ again with a boot straight to the face! He roll's Jeff back into the ring for the cover...1....2....Twisted stop's the count, he picked Jeff's head up!!
Nester- What the hell!!? Come on finish the match Dammit!!
The Doc- You're right, this kid has had enough!!
Twisted climbs to the top turnbuckle, and flies off nailing the Funnel!! He pins...1.....2......3!!!
Nester- That's it, XTJ got brutalised!!
The Doc- I'm glad thats over! But a strong debut from Twisted.
Officials help XTJ from the ring as Twisted celebrates in the ring with Stacey.
Nester- Not a bad start wouldn't you say Doc? Our next match we come to is another first round match for the X Title Championship, pitting 2-Dope against Leonardo Ortiz.
The Doc- Well both of these guys had some comments to say but, Ortiz looked more impressive.
Nester- Oh save it, 2-Dope is a dope rapper. What do you know?
"Migra" by Santana hits over the P.A system and after the first 30 seconds Leonardo comes through the curtains and gets down on one knee..raising both arms out to the side and grinning behind him, his manager, El Psycho Diablo looks around slowly. After about five or six seconds, Leonardo stands out and walks down the ramp, hopping up onto the ring apron and climbing in through the middle ropes..he then moves the center of the ring and one again drops to one knee..giving the crowd a few crotch chops before flipping them the finger.
Nester- Well it looks like these fas up north aren't taking to kindly to this Mexican star.
2-Dope's music hits and the crowd get on their feet. 2-Dope walks to the ring with all his bling bling as the fans chant his name.
The Doc- Hey they aren't chanting his name. Those chants are piped in through the PA system....
Nester- Hey are you trying to hurt his image? Wait until you see this guy in the ring. He's dope I tell you!
The bell sounds as the two lock up in the middle of the ring with Ortiz getting the advantage. He gets behind 2-Dope and nails him with a German suplex. He goes immediately back on the attack and picks 2-Dope back up, he sends him to the ropes and goes for a clothesline but 2-Dope ducks and nails him with a clothesline of his own.
The Doc- Nice come back by 2-Dope but, I don't think thats gonna be enough!
2-Dope back up and meets Ortiz in the middle of the ring, they trade punches and then 2-Dope kicks Ortiz in the gut, sending him back against the ropes, 2-Dope suplexs Ortiz, wiggles the hips to nail him again, 2-Dope releases the hold, he gets back up and picks Ortiz up. He drives him to the mat with a flowing DDT!!
Nester- That's one of his signature moves!
He goes for the cover....1.....2.....Kick Out!!
The Doc- Some how, Ortiz managed to get the shoulders up!
2-Dope picks up Ortiz and tosses him out of the ring, he then begins to taunt and dance for the fans.
Nester- Huh!? Why isn't he going after Ortiz!? This is a big mistake!!
The Doc- Get with it Nester, he's got the moves!!
Ortiz slides back into the ring unbeknown to 2-Dope he dropkicks him and 2-Dope falls against the ropes and is met by several kicks to the side, Ortiz sets him up for a final shot but, 2-Dope manages to catch the leg, he grabs the other leg and sets him up for the Lord of the Bling!!
Nester- Lord of the Bling!! Lord of the Bling!!
The Doc- Goodnight Ortiz, thanks for coming out!!
2-Dope tries to get it locked into place but, Ortiz struggles. Somehow he manages to reverse it into the Choke Breaker! 2-Dope screams out in pain as he reaches for the ropes to break the hold.
Nester- I thought it was over there.
Both men stumble to their feet as Ortiz scoops up 2-Dope with the Michinoku Driver II-B! He slams him to the mat as the ring shakes. He goes for a quick cover. 1, 2, and a kickout. Ortiz signlas for the La Calabaza as he comes in from behind to lock it on. He does but, 2-Dope tries to fight out of it. Ortiz will have none of it as he sets the hold in and pulls him to the middle of the ring. The referee checks on 2-Dope but, he refuses to tap. Finally Ortiz lets go and smashes 2-Dope's face into the mat. He rolls him over and heads to the top rope. Once he gets to the top, he signals for the Corkscrew Moonsault but, 2-Dope gets back up and tries to suplex him down. Ortiz locks his fott on the top turnbuckle and grabs 2-Dope by the head as he plants him with a Fallout DDT from the top rope!
The Doc- OH MY GOD!
Nester- That was an impressive move if there ever was one! I think 2-Dope is out cold!
Ortiz goes to lift 2-Dope from the mat but, 2-Dope lands a low blow. He runs to the ropes but, Ortiz quickly leaps up and lands a rana! 2-Dope flops around on the mat as Ortiz quickly leaps up to the top rope. He leaps off with the Corkscrew Moonsault as the referee makes the cover! 1, 2, 3!
The Doc- See I told you he had all the moves!
Ortiz's theme plays as he heckles the fans in the arena.
Nester- I guess 2-Dope isn't as dope as I thought.
Referees help 2-Dope up as Ortiz laughs at his fallen opponent. He exits the ring and leaves with his trainer as we head back up to our commentators.
Nester- Well I can't deny that was a great match. They just keep getting better here tonight. And now one more match remains for the first round of the X title tournament. Newcomer, Virus takes on Mike Love.
The Doc- I'm introducing this match, it now comes to Mike Love vs Virus.
Nester- The winner of this match, in my opinion will win the title.
The Doc- You think so!?
Nester- I certainly do.
Mike Love is already in the ring awaiting Virus. Virus walks down to the ring, in attire as orange and white pyros go off from each side of the ramp, and the crowd boo, he raises a "V" sign at them, and slides into the ring. The goes to the middle of the ring, and stops, motionless, and silent, and blue and white pyros explode in a V shape around him.
Neste - I'm really looking forward to this one!
The Doc- You need to get out more!
Both competitors move to the center of the ring and have a stare down. Virus pushes Love back, Love pushes Virus, but Virus fires at him with right after right. Love falls back into the ropes, Virus irish whips him, runs back to the ropes and nails him with a Clothesline from Hell!!
Nester- That's one of his signature moves Doc!! Could be over already!!
The Doc- I wouldn't bet on it, Mike Love is one hell of an athelete.
Instead of going for the cover Virus picks Mike Love back up and slams him hard to the mat, he then climbs up the turnbuckle, to the top!!
The Doc- What the hell is he doing!! He's 7ft 2!!
Nester- This isn't like Virus!!
Virus taunts, as the whole crowd are on their feet watching, Virus jumps and goes for somersault leg drop, but Mike Love manages to move and Virus comes crashing down to the mat!! The crowd chants HOLY SHIT...HOLY SHIT....HOLY SHIT!!
Nester- Oh my God!!!
The Doc- Quick Love, go for the cover!!
Mike Love manages to crawl across and covers...1....2......Kick Out!! Mike Love looks around in disbelief, He gets back up to his feet and picks up a not moving Virus, he nails Virus with a German suplex, then sets him up and puts him in the Love Lock!!
Nester- Love Lock, Love Lock!!
The Doc- Virus is gonna have to tap!!
Love gets it locked in properly and Virus screams out in pain, somehow he manages to force himself up and knocks Love to the floor reversing the move!
Nester- Virus has Love in his own Love Lock!!
Love manages to force his way out and then gets up to his feet, he rushes at Virus who ducks, picks him up onto his shoulders and nails him with the Legendeer!!! He covers 1....2.....3!!
The Doc- It's over, Virus has picked up the victory and is now the last man into the final!!
Nester- That was a quick match.
The Doc- It certainly was. Now it is set. Later tonight we will see not a fatal four way but, a triple threat TLC match up. Virus, Leonardo Ortiz and Twisted will battle it out for the X championship. I can't wait.
Nester- Either can I. That's coming up later but, up next we have what is sure to be a classic. Mr. Fabulous taking on The Sensational One! This should be a great contest.
"My Way" Blasts out of the PA System and the crowd erupts into a huge applause as "The Sensational One" struts out onto the stage, he begins to walk down the ramp, he exchanges a few hand shakes with some fans before stepping into the ring, he poses in the middle of the ring as the pyrotechnics go off around the ring.
Nester- Lawrence Jarvis is back and he's gonna show the whole world why he was headlining the nWo's last pay-per-view a couple weeks back.
Dr. Williams- He sure is looking sensational!
Nester- What the hell are you talking about?
Suddenly a cheesey version of Ric Flairs old theme plays as Mr. Fabulous and Lex Wonder come out onto the stage. They get booed ferociously as they make their way to the ring. Fabulous walks up the steps and enters the ring and bgins to do a set of jumping jacks as his theme cuts. Jarvis and Fabulous meet eye to eye in the ring as the referee calls for the bell.
Dr. Williams- This is gonna be good.
Nester- You can tell it right now. Two of the most acclaimed wrestlers in this business today. Lets see how this thing is gonna start off!
Fabulous and Jarvis tie up in the center of the ring as they both struggle to gain control. Fabulous quickly gets in with a knee to the gut and pushes Jarvis over onto the mat. He poses but, Jarvis is up quick and hammers him into the corner. Fabulous can't fight back into it so he ducks under the top rope causing the referee to break it up.
Nester- Mr. Fabulous taking an easy way out right there.
Fabulous comes back as they tie up again. He goes for another knee cheapshot but, Jarvis catches his leg this time and trips him over. A quick pin but, Fabulous easily kicks out. Both jump to their feet as Jarvis lands a hip toss and calls for him to get back up. Fabulous does and ties up with him again. He backs Jarvis into the corner and chops away at his chest. Again and again until Jarvis breaks free and revereses him to the corner and chops away at Fabulous' chest. He whips him to the opposite turnbuckle and follows up but, Fabulous leaps over and lands a sunset flip for a pin. 1, 2, and a kickout. Jarvis back up with a clothesline but, Fabulous ducks and lands a quick suplex. He goes for the cover but, Jarvis easily kicks out. Fabulous whips him to the ropes but, Jarvis reverses and lands a stiff knee to the stomach sending Fabulous down.
Dr. Williams- That looked like it hurt.
Jarvis gets down on the ground and begins to choke him until the referee breaks it up. Fabulous back up but, gets a boot to the stomach. Jarvis with a DDT that follows as he makes the cover. 1, 2, and a kickout. Jarvis picks him up and lands a backbreaker. He heads for the top rope but, Lex Wonder grabs his ankle to distract him. Jarvis tries to shake him off but, Fabulous has enough time to get up and toss Jarvis down to the mat. He drops the knee then walks over and slaps Lex Wonder's hand. He runs to the ropes once more and another knee right across the face. He goes for a nonchalant cover but, Jarvis is able to kickout. Fabulous whips him to the turnbuckle and backdrops him as he comes back. He goes for the legs as he locks on the figure four. Before he can lock it in, Jarvis grabs him and rolls him up in a small package. 1, 2, and a kickout.
Nester- Quick thinking by Jarvis but, it wasn't quite enough.
Fabulous up and so is Jarvis. Fabulous sends Jarvis to the ropes but a reversal. Fabulous comes back only to get caught in an underhook position. He slings him over his head and waits for him to get up. He goes for the "Sensational Shot" but, Fabulous ducks and hits the "Fabulous-Plex" for the cover.
Dr. Williams- I think it's over!
