Fatal Four Way
DareDevil vs. AlanWood vs. Virus vs. Mike Love
This match was canceled however, the fans were so hyped I don't think they even noticed as we started things off with the nights official match.
Singles Match
Max Cage vs. Mr. Fabulous
Max Cage made his official debut here in Elmira to a roaring crowd as many first time GFW fans watch him go one on one with Mr. Fabulous. This match lasted about twelve minutes with Fabulous using his mat techniques and suplexes. While unsuccessful with an attempted Fabulous-Plex, Max Cage hopped over Fabulous' shoulders and picked him up for the devastating Pain Thriller, rendering Mr. Fabulous out cold for the easy three count.
Winner: Max Cage
Singles Match
Frankie Gazinya vs. 2-Dope
A bearable match here as Frankie wrestled the even more unbearable opponent of 2-Dope. The match lasted maybe four minutes which made for a good bathroom break. Frankie got the win with the headbutt off the top rope for the pinfall but, looked visibly winded after the match.
GFW Tag Team Title Match
"The Sensational One" & Rod Gazinya vs. The Rookie & P.S.P. vs. Lawson Brothers(c)
The action picked right up. Everyone was waiting for this one as they stormed the barracades for the Last Call's entrance. Rod and Jarvis came out second followed by the Lawson Brothers who didn't appear to be in top form but, carried the GFW tag team titles nonetheless. The triple threat tag made for an interesting match up as each team would tag in other guys from different teams to save themselves for the end. However, they were all quick to come in illegally to break up pinfalls and keep the match going. At one point well past the 15 minute mark, Zach Lawson took a nasty fall off from the apron injuring his knee. Rod Gazinya tried to capitalize on this with his trademarked sharpshooter but, the Last Call was sure to break up any chance of a submission victory. At another point, Jarvis and The Rookie put on a display of athleticism that wooed the crowd. Jarvis almost landed the win when he crawled over to the Rookie for the cover after nailing the Sensational Shot but, P.S.P made sure that wasn't going to happen. Later, P.S.P whacked the referee out accidently only for Twisted to appear to the crowds delight at the entrance. He came to ringside as he grabbed a steel chair and circled the ring. The end came after the twenty minute mark when Twisted decided to attack Jarvis with the chair, prompting Rod Gazinya to get his own chair and chase Twisted into the crowd. Meanwhile in the ring, P.S.P. got the win with an inside cradle on Zach Lawson, taking the tag team titles. Meanwhile, Twisted reappears through out the crowd as he came to the ring to celebrate the Last Call for their celebration, obviously joining the faction. Twisted grabbed a microphone and addressed the crowd.
Twisted: I am sure you all know who I am now and are wondering why I have done what I just did. Well I do not owe you anything not even a word to explain myself. Better yet don't think of me as any member of this group I am now the leader of these two. Jarvis watch your back the devil is coming for you.
An interesting twist to say the least as well as new tag team champions.
Winners: The Last Call (P.S.P. & The Rookie)
GFW X Title Match
Twisted(c) vs. Yankee Kid
The crowd reaction was mixed when Twisted returned for the next match defending his title against the Yankee Kid. The kid got a good pop as he always does anywhere in New York besides the fact that his heckler from earlier in the week was sitting right in the front row. The kid payed no attention as he put his skills to the test against Twisted and his friend the chair. Many moves involving the chair went into effect in this no DQ X title match. The kid even busted open his lip. The match came to an end around the ten minute mark when the heckler reached over the barracade and attacked the kid. Not having any of that, Twisted hurled the guy over the barracade and restrained him until security arrived. The kid meanwhile tossed Twisted into the ring unexpectandly and hit a victory roll only to have it reversed in Twisted favor.
Winner: Twisted
Main Event
GFW TV Championship Match
Calvin Johnson(c) vs. Xercist
The night came to a close with an epic match up pitting the highly regarded Xercist against the TV champ Calvin Johnson. While this match should have been saved for live television, Calvin has made prior commitments with movie roles. With hints of this surfacing over the net, the fans smelled title change. But, would it happen tonight? This quick? The two squared off nose to nose, face to face. No gimmicks or tricks. Each man laid into the other with everything they had. A clean fight that had the fans at their feet for every minute of this twenty five minute classic. Calvin seemed ready to ruin everyones expectations after he landed a swift Rock bottom and went for a people's elbow but, Xercist wasn't gonna just lie on his back for something so ridiculous. He moved out of the way at the last second and took it to Calvin nailing him with everything he had. He eventually hit the Meet Your Make submission hoping to make Calvin tap like he did on Prime but, Calvin struggled himself free with a timely placed back kick to the groan. Calvin waited for him to get up and went for his massive superkick only for X to duck underneath and pick him up for the Death Drop. Calvin went down hard as Xercist landed it into a pinning combination taking the win by pinfall to the crowds approval. Xercist celebrated for a while to cap off the show as Calvin didn't look back and went to head backstage. Xercist grabbed the microphone and called Calvin back. The crowd was encouraging as Calvin decided to go back and shake the new TV champs hand. The two posed from opposite turnbuckles before leaving to the back as the crowd filtered out.
Winner: Xercist
All in all a good house show for the small Elmira crowd. The event was packed of about 6,000 people which shows signs of encouragement that the GFW may return soon for a possible live event. Biggest face heat went to the Yankee Kid, Rod Gazinya and Xercist. Biggest heel heat went to The Last Call and Twisted after joining them.
