| 1/2 cup butter or margarine 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/24 cup brown sugar 1 well beaten egg 1 cup + 2 TBS sifted enriched flour 1/2 cup soda 1/4 tsp hot water 6 ounce package semi sweet chocolate pieces 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans 1/2 cup vanilla Preheat the oven to 350.Cream butter,sugar .Add egg.Beat well Sift dry ingredients .Add to creamed mixtire.Add hot water.Mix well till blended. add chocolate pieces, nuts and vanilla.Drop from teaspoon onto greased cooky sheet.bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 3 1/2 dozen cookies. for uniformity use a ice cream scooped to drop the cookies |
