Hobbies
From my early childhood I have always enjoyed creating things with my hands. I did very well in art classes and wood shop classes were almost theraputic during the troubled teen years.
For several years I owned a custom furniture company and found the opportunity to design and creat wood furniture extremely rewarding. I had the delight of making my son's queen-sized fourposter bed and mt daughter's fourposter bed and matching nightstand.
Other hobbies of mine are  stainedglass, flintknapping (making stone impliments), and photography (see my Photography page).
Here is my very first project. I keep it in a window
sill so the morning light shines through it.

For many years I have enjoyed making and using hunting instruments replicated after the skills of Native Americans.
I struggled and failed at making stone arrow points for over ten years before I chipped a tip that satified my idea of a well made point.
Here are some of the tips I have created. The types of stone used vary from flint, jasper, basalt, and obsidian. The four steel points were made from old barrel bands thatI found at a ghost town called Salt Creek (Wyoming).
All of the points are bound to the shafts with elk sinew. The arrows are feathered with wild turkey feathers.
