Niclas is really a nice guy, that's for sure. He has been kind enough to answer a mail I sent him, and here's what he says:

Q: A commercial for Rocky-jeans and H&M has been on TV and the cinemas lately, and if it isn't your voice singing it must be someone very good at imitating you (which of course is impossible). Is this anything we will
find in the record-store under the name 'Sweet Chariots' in a not-so-distant future?

Niclas: About the Rocky Commercial, it was some kind of embryo to what I hope will be Sweet Chariots! I'm not sure if the song will be on cd in the future. It will probably be released some way, as a B-side or something similar.

Q: Who exactly are the Chariots?

Niclas: That's a little out of shape and it will probably differ between live and on the album.

Sweet Chariots is the name of the project I'm writing songs for, and at the moment I'm writing a little together with Andreas Mattson from Popsicle. When it will be realeased knows only God himself, but it usually is when it feels as if you've got a set of good songs and a sound that makes your inside a little warmer!

Q: How many songs are planned, will it be a full album? When will we any material be released?

Niclas: We've began recording some ideas but will continue this spring and summer and hope it will be possible to release it this autumn. We're going for a full album.

Q: Can we look forward to see you out on tour with the Chariots, and in that case where are you going? Would you like to play in Japan again?

Niclas: If it becomes good and feels fun I'm sure we'll play live, even in Japan, if the Japanese are still interested in swedish R&R!

Q: I read in Aftonbladet that you followed Jakob Hellman to play in Ulan Bator, Mongolia. Sounds like a cool thing to do to me. How was it?

Niclas: Ulan Bator and Jakob Hellman is a long story that can be summarized as absurd, straight and simple.

Q: What is the difference between Atomic Swing and the Chariots?

Niclas: Atomic Swing's music is written by a naive and concerned 20 year old with adrenaline in the blood! Sweet Chariots music is by and for people in need of release, refreshment and spiritual advice!

Q: I heard an absurd rumour saying that you have been sued by Jim Henson for imitating the swedish cook. Is that true?

Niclas: The Swedish cook? How could they know?
