CALLING GURU FROM AFAR:
This prayer calling from Afar was composed by the great master, Jamgon Kongtrul
Lodro Thaye (1813-1899)
First part of the prayer is to invoke the blessings of the Buddha's,
Bodhisattvas, accomplished Indian and Tibetan masters and one's guru to guide us
in our spiritual development.
In the second part of the prayer inspires one to develop unshakable faith and
reliance on our gurus, the source of all accomplishments.
Frequent and sincere recitation of the prayer will remind us of our faults and
the need to practice dharma. Ultimately, we are aspired to attain Enlightenment
for the benefit of all sentient beings.
