We are the pulse of El Cerrito High School. We are what some people may call entertainment, and we feel that we can keep a crowd going with the best of them. GMB has been at El Cerrito High School since its inception in the 1930s. We have won acclaim at band revues and at community events since then. Our band even held the world record for longest non-stop playing at 80 hours. We have seventy-five years of tradition, and we're only getting better. We are involved in many community-building events such as the Solono Stroll and the local Martin Luther King, Jr. Day parade. We also go to Disneyland every other year, as well as to Memorial Stadium at UC Berkeley for Cal Band Day. Next year, we will be going to our first competition in many years in Santa Cruz, California.
