MUSIC Samplers
This page is for you to sample some of the music I listen too.  I think you will enjoy it.  Don't worry, the clips are usually about 2-3 minutes long, none of that 10 second junk - as if you could really get a taste for the music in 10 seconds.
NOTE: I recommend a high bit-rate connection for listening to these since they tend to be large.
Rachmaninoff's 3rd Piano Concerto Piano Solo - John Lill
Acid Rain - Liquid Tension Experiment
Prepare to be amazed at the virtuosity required for this MONSTROUS piano piece!  Listen if you dare.
Crazy instrumental hardcore number played by John Pretrucci, Tony Levin, Mike Portnoy, and Jordon Rudess.
Spartacus Love Song - Bill Evans
This Dying Soul - Dream Theater
Bill Evans displays his extraordinary talent at the keys by mixing a delicate beauty with technical finesse.  This song has two piano tracks.
What would life be like without some hardcore Dream Theater riffs and crazy double bass drum action?
Scream Machine (intro) - James Morrison
As One (intro) - Michal Camilo
This short clip demonstrates what a good trumpet section can do.  James Morrison rivals Maynard Ferguson with his screaming trumpet abilities.  Maynard just doesn't have the technique James does.  This trumpt gliss introduces a funky big-band tune.
Blacky (small Clip) - Michal Camilo
These two Camilo clips demonstrate his mastery of rhythm and technique.  Try to figure out the time signature of As One.  As for Blacky, think you can play block chords that fast?  Michal, however, is NOT a master of melody in my opinion, contrary to Bill Evans.
Flight of the Bumble Bee - John Petrucci
Getting the idea that technical virtuosity impresses me?  Dream Theater's (and LTE's) famed guitarist plays this well-known classical number faster and harder than its ever been played.
The Sinister Minister (solo) - Victor Wooten
Bela Fleck and the Flecktones' bassist Victor Wooten shows off his talent in this live solo performance.
Unfortunately I am limited on space so these files will not be the entire song, nor will there be many of them.  Check every now and then because I can downsample the MP3s so that they take up less space, in which case I will add more great music.  Leave a comment on my Xanga if you have any music you'd recommend for everyone's listening pleasure.
