Dai-na: Okay, I’ve rewritten this because I thought it needed a little extra and because I need it to flow better with the sequel that’s in the works. And yes, for anyone who is curious, this will be a lemon this time around. Please let me know what you think of the changes.
He exhaled deeply, tension radiating from the ragged breath and he scooped up some of the cool river water to relieve his parched throat. The liquid went down smooth and felt wonderful but did little to relieve the tension that plagued his mind. The moon overhead shone directly upon him, it’s silvery rays falling on him almost accusingly, silhouetting his petite form clearly in the dark of night through the trees that surrounded him. The hour had grown quite late and everyone else was asleep. He had tried to join them, knowing that they had a long day ahead of them tomorrow if they planned to get enough star chips for he and Joey to get into the castle, but rest had eluded him. He couldn’t stop thinking about the night’s earlier events. Most specifically, when Kaiba had shown up. He had known full well that the young billionaire was still alive, despite what the Eliminator had said, and had never doubted it for a moment. No one as stubborn as he could die without taking the rest of the world with him.
And he had the nagging felling that it had been the chestnut haired boy that had helped him in the duel with the imposter who had somehow possessed his deck. While he hated to admit it, he knew that, without Exodia in his deck , he would have lost if it had not been for the virus that had been uploaded into the Blue Eyes.
But still, he hadn’t actually expected to see him on the island. It was stupid, really. Kaiba’s little brother, Mokuba, was the only thing, aside from his Blue Eyes’ , that he truly cherished. He knew very little about the two boys’ past but it was enough to make him feel a wave of sympathy for them. When Mokuba had been born, their mother had died and only a few years later their father had died in an accident. It was fairly well known that the head of the Kaiba Corporation, Gozaburo Kaiba had gone to the orphanage to pick out an heir, having reached a specific age and not married, much less had children, someone whom he could groom into his successor. Seto Kaiba was well known, not just for his fortune, but his incredible intelligence which had been obvious even then. Kaiba had wanted Seto but, even then, he had been a loving and loyal brother, refusing to allow them to be split up. So he had challenged the older man to a game of chess, if Seto won then Kaiba had to adopt them both. The rest after that was history. Kaiba had ignored Mokuba completely and had brought Seto up cruelly, never once showing him an ounce of affection, something he thought that no child should grow up without. And as much as he hated thinking about it, Seto had dominated, wresting control of the company from his adopted father and pushed him out of the window of the executive office of the corporation building. Everyone knew that he had done it but even now he wasn’t yet old enough to be tried as an adult and there had never been enough evidence to convict him.
The thought that the other was capable of killing had always sent shivers down his spine but over the last few weeks he had begun to understand why he had done it. Most thought that it was because he yearned for the power and money that went along with owning one of the most nationally prominent companies in the world but Yugi had since learned that it was far different reasons that Seto had done what he had. He had done it for Mokuba. If Yugi had had any doubts about that then they had been erased when Seto showed up on the island, hell bent on rescuing his brother. He would do anything to protect the only family, and the only friend that he had. And while Yugi didn’t approve of his methods, he appreciated what he was trying to do and understood that the older boy probably thought that he had no other choice. Hell, he might not have. No one but the two brothers knew what life had been like growing up inside the Kaiba household and only they knew what their options had been.
Seto’s devotion to his brother was obvious and he should have known from the beginning that he would be there. But still, seeing Kaiba, so unexpectedly, had caught him off guard and he’d been unprepared for the wave of emotions that had crashed into him. He had been drawn to the other from the beginning. At first it had been merely physical, the other’s features undeniably attractive. From his sleek Mahogany-colored hair to his narrow and well structured face, his thin, often tightly drawn, lips, and his deep cobalt eyes that could entrance anyone. But after their duel he had become attracted to the other on much deeper levels. His passion and intensity, his sharp, amazingly intelligent mind, his love for his brother and finally something that he hadn’t seen until that night when Kaiba had looked at him, with all his friends backing him and he had seen the longing in his eyes. The need to have something like that and the loneliness that seemed to eat away at him.
In short, Seto Kaiba had become his ultimate fantasy. He was, maybe only to Yugi, completely perfect, the things that other’s saw as flaws only seeming to increase his belief of that. The older boy left him awed and captivated. And if he ever found out, Yugi was certain that he’d crawl up in a hole somewhere and die from the mortification of it all. As it stood, Yugi had the older boy’s respect as a duelist, and one day he hoped to have his friendship. But that was just his optimistic nature. If Kaiba ever found out his true feelings, he would not only probably lose all chance of that friendship, slim though it was, he’d also lose his hard-won respect. And that was something that he wasn’t sure he could survive.
With a dejected sigh, he dipped his hands back into the water for another drink.
“You really shouldn’t drink from that, it might not be sanitary.” The dark rich voice came from behind him and he didn’t have to turn around to know who it was. He would have recognized it anywhere and it sent little shivers of excitement through his body. He whirled around, stunned to see Kaiba leaning casually against a nearby tree, watching him with an unreadable expression. He wondered how long the other had been there and why he hadn’t heard him approach.
“Kaiba! What are you doing here? I thought you were going to the castle.” He asked, nearly wincing as he heard how breathless he sounded. The other boy’s eyes flashed for a moment and, not for the first time, Yugi wished that he knew what was going on behind their azure depths.
“There’s nothing I can do there tonight.” He said evenly. It made Yugi want to sigh in frustration but he restrained himself.
“So why are you here?” He inquired, and then cursed himself for how rude it sounded. The last thing he needed was for the brunette to get his back up and leave because he’d been unable to pry his foot out of his mouth. “Not that you’re not welcome to join us, but I don’t think that’s it.” He hastily amended.
The other boy nodded a little, and came over to stand with him by the riverbank. He couldn’t suppress the little shiver that went through him at having his secret love so close.
“I’m not delusional, Yugi.” He said softly, the tone of his voice startling the smaller boy. Was it his imagination or had it sounded slightly wistful? “I know that Pegasus is dangerous and quite insane. I know that I could go into that castle and never come back.” Yugi shuddered at the thought. How could he talk about something like that so easily? He felt something painful and hollow inside him at the thought of never seeing the other again and he wrapped his arms around himself slightly and looked up at the taller boy, waiting for him to continue.
“I don’t like having regrets. If I die in there, I don’t want to have any.”
Yugi’s brow furrowed a little. He understood what the other was saying but he couldn’t figure out what that had to do with him. Did he regret losing to him in their duel? Did he want a rematch? He got the feeling that it was something else.
“I don’t understand,” was all he said. He grew further confused when Kaiba moved in front of him , so close that he had to crane his neck up painfully to hold his gaze, and pulled him closer so that their bodies were pressed against one another. His muddled brain barely registered how warm and firm the other felt and the way his heartbeat kicked up painfully. He could only stare, fascinated, as the older boy bent down and claimed his lips. The kiss was soft and gentle, but not hesitant.
Yugi was dumbstruck.
Kaiba was kissing him.
Seto Kaiba, the center focus of all his wet dreams.
Seto Kaiba, the boy that he’d all but worshiped over the past weeks, was kissing him and he was just standing there like and idiot. When he felt the older boy begin to pull away, he snapped out of his daze and brought his arms up, holding him close, deepening the kiss. The brunette murmured appreciatively into his mouth and it encouraged him to flick his tongue out over the other’s lips, requesting entrance. His moves were hesitant, having little experience in this area, but he had no intention of holding back with the other now that the thing he’d been dreaming of was finally happening.
Seto parted his lips to him and he slipped his tongue into the other’s mouth, exploring the deep cavern, savoring the dark taste of him that his imagination hadn’t done justice to, and stroking it along the other’s causing him to moan a little. The deep, husky sound caused a pool of lust to begin forming in the pit of his stomach.
The older boy’s hands practically circled his waist, holding him tight against him so that he could feel the blatant evidence of his desire burning into his stomach. His fists clenched into the other’s clothing, his legs no longer steady enough to hold himself up.
When his lungs burned painfully with the lack of air he pulled back from the other slightly, not leaving the security of the other’s arms, and panted heavily.
“You want me.” Yugi murmured, not really asking, as he rested his forehead against the other’s torso, trying to calm his rampant breathing. When he looked up at Seto, the other’s blue eyes flashed once again, but this time the barriers came down completely, exposing their depths to the smaller boy who stared into them awed. He had never seen such clear emotion in the other’s expression and he knew, just by looking at them, what the other was going to say, even before the words feel from his lips.
Seto shook his head a little.
“I love you.” He said simply and, for the first time, Yugi heard true emotion lacing his voice. He nodded with a smile. Right there, just the two of them holding each other, knowing what might happen later, it just seemed that simple. He had no trouble responding in kind.
“I love you too”
The brunette’s expression seemed to light up, as if he hadn’t expected a likewise response, and he leaned back down to capture his lips with another kiss, only this one was far more demanding than the first. Yugi yielded to him without hesitation, parting his lips to permit entrance to the older boy’s questing tongue. Flames of desire smoldered in his stomach and his hands roamed aimlessly over the other’s back, silently cursing the layers of clothes that separated his hands from the skin that he so desperately longed to touch.
He felt no hesitation when the other lowered him softly to the grass, his long form stretching out over his, their mouths still locked fiercely. He felt no rush of fear that they were moving too fast, or reluctance to share this with the other. It was simply perfect. In this time, this place, the two of them were meant to come together. He felt that and believed it in his heart.
He ran his hands up Seto’s arms to reach the edge of his jacket, pulling it off and tossing it aside to be instantly forgotten. He loved the way that the other’s shirt clung to his broad shoulders, how it hinted at the smooth firm chest and taut abdomen beneath. He purred a little into the other’s mouth as he imagined how the other would look without it.
Using on arm to prop himself up, Seto used his other hand to tug at the buckles on Yugi’s clothes, the leather concoction frustrating him to no end, despite how much he loved seeing it on the other boy . When he finally worked the smaller boy’s shirt off, Yugi blushed deeply.
It hadn’t occurred to Yugi until that moment just how pitiful his body was and he was afraid that the other would be disappointed and lose interest in him. He couldn’t bear the thought so he forced control of his body onto his Yami, much to the spirit’s surprise, his body growing longer and lithe with perfectly toned features.
Seto felt the other shift beneath him. He looked at the now-taller boy beneath him and knew that something was off. He pulled back to examine this person. The figure wasn’t unfamiliar. He had seen Yugi change once before during their first duel but had passed it off as a figment of his overworked, over-stressed mind. But he stared closely at the other boy and knew that he hadn’t been imagining it. This boy was nearly a full head taller than Yugi, his eyes, instead of violet, were now a smoldering crimson that had him swallowing deeply, and the body that lay beneath his was firm, more built and curved. There were other subtle differences to him, his hair and the air about him, but he still couldn’t shake the feeling that it was still Yugi.
“You’re not Yugi…But, you are…” He murmured, completely confused.
The other boy gave him a thoughtful smile
“You’re right. There are two of us in here.” He told him, tapping his temple with one elegant finger. His voice was dark and rich; still sounding like Yugi’s but having a sensual edge to it that had him melting. “One is Yugi and the other is myself. We are like the same person, but at the same time, we are not. We share the same soul, the same heart, but we are very different in many ways. Like two halves of a whole. Yugi is the innocence, the compassion and kindness, as well as the insecurity. I am the darker half, his Yami he calls me. I have the courage, the anger and passion, as well as the arrogance.” He added with a smirk. “ Though at times we tend to bleed into one another… When Yugi feels unsure or lacking confidence I take over for him.”
Seto thought about his explanation for a moment. It made sense, though he didn’t bother to question how it was possible, and he nodded a little in understanding, though something about it still bothered him.
“I don’t want Yugi to be uncertain with me, he has no need.” He said, slightly pensive. Yami nodded and leaned up to kiss him deeply. He all but purred into the other’s mouth.
They were so wrapped up in one another that neither of them noticed a shadowy figure in the trees behind them. The figure was tall, almost unnaturally so, and nothing could really be seen of it except for the yellow, cat-like eyes that glittered in the darkness. He nodded in approval at the brunette’s words and turned away from the pair, giving them their privacy. As he turned, his long hair whipped through the air silently before dragging on the ground behind him.
When the two pulled apart, they were both panting heavily. Yami gave Seto a firm look.
“We agree on that. But understand this Seto Kaiba, in matters such as this, there is no one or the other, you will always be with both of us. You are simply choosing the front.” Seto nodded his understanding and pulled the other closer as he shifted back to a sheepish looking Yugi. Seto gave him a rare smile that had the smaller boy tearing up.
“I love you, Yugi. All of you.” He said warmly, his gaze
running over the small, slender form. Yugi ducked his head a little, feeling
ashamed of his insecurity, and flushed. When he looked back up at Seto his
cerulean eyes were glittering with an open love that Yugi cherished.
He gasped a little as Seto’s eyes flickered and darkened, the love there
melting away to desire, and moaned when he lowered his head to run his lips
over the exposed skin, tasting him, and took one of the taut peaks there
between his lips, flicking his tongue out over it. He choked on a gasp and
instinctually bucked beneath the other, inadvertently grinding their hips
together. He heard Seto groan from deep in his throat and it effected him just
as much as the contact had. He threaded his fingers through the other’s silky
brown hair, holding him close while Seto’s hands ran gently, teasingly, over
his hips and thighs, settling on the waistband of his pants. Yugi swallowed
deeply and when the other unfastened the garment he lifted his hips so that he
could remove them.
Seto pulled back from him and Yugi flushed when he ran his gaze over him lazily, openly appraising his bare form. A feral grin curled Seto’s beautiful lips and Yugi felt his heart stutter in his chest. Seto leaned forward and licked at his lips slightly, causing him to pant with need.
“You’re beautiful, Yugi. So very beautiful.” The older boy whispered huskily, the words sounding loud in the otherwise quiet night. He cheeks tinged pink and he looked down, embarrassed by the other’s obvious flattery. He knew that he wasn’t beautiful; his Yami was the beautiful one, but Seto’s earnestly spoken words almost made him believe it. He smiled back up at the brunette, his expression belaying all the love that he felt, and moved his mouth to the other’s neck, tasting the skin there and taking in his scent. It was almost like a sensory overload for him when he did. The other tasted wonderful, sharp and earthy with the salty tang of sweat, and his hair still held remnants of his shampoo, a surprisingly soft scent that meshed with the normal smell of his body. Yugi would have sworn that he was in heaven at that moment. But then Seto’s large hand moved down over his bare abdomen, the warmth of it causing goosebumps to rise along his skin, and even farther to close around him lightly. In that moment he realized that heaven couldn’t begin to compare to the bliss that the other was causing him.
He gasped and arched his back, leaning into the other’s touch while his short, blunt nails dug small crescents into the other’s bare shoulders. Seto hissed a little at the biting pain in his shoulders but didn’t halt in his slow, torturous stroking.
Yugi thrashed a bit under the other’s ministrations and brought hand up to bite down on one of his knuckles, keeping himself from crying out. He’d never felt anything quite like the feel of Seto’s warm, firm hand closed around him, stroking him with smooth, patient motions. Unfortunately for Yugi, he wasn’t nearly as patient as Seto.
He thrust his hips urgently against the other’s hand, blindly seeking more, and Seto chuckled softly, pulling his hand away. Yugi whimpered at the lost of contact, shaking with need, but looked up at the other, watching fascinated, as he removed the remains of his clothing.
Yugi looked over his long, lean form in awe, unable to tear his gaze away. The other was… was… beautiful didn’t even begin to describe what the other was.
Warmth pooled in his gut then spread slowly over his body as the other moved back over him, meeting his lips in another mind-numbing kiss that completely destroyed any thought in Yugi’s mind. He hesitantly ran his hands over Seto’s now bared body, entranced by the rich tanned skin smoothed over his firm, powerful muscles. Not overly bulky, but by no means lacking. The other boy groaned a little and leaned down to nibble on his ear lightly, the evidence of his desire pressed firmly against Yugi’s thigh.
“I want you Yugi. I want you so badly.” His words were hushed and needy, filling Yugi’s brain and causing his heart to pound even harder in his chest. He looked up at Seto, his eyes shining brightly in the moonlight.
“I’m yours. Take me Seto.” He whispered. The brunette’s eyes flashed with barely restrained desire, the sight both frightening and exciting to him. He reached up and looped his arms around the other’s neck, kissing him tenderly.
Seto clenched his fists tightly in the grass, barely able to control himself as he returned the smaller boy’s kiss. He’d never felt such an overwhelming need before and he was starting to wonder if he could survive it. He paused briefly as he realized that he had nothing to prepare the other with, having never expected this. When he came to Yugi here in the middle of the night he’d fully expected to be turned away. And as elated as he was that that hadn’t happened, he cursed himself for his lack of foresight. He brought his fingers to his lips and coated then liberally with saliva, making sure that they were slick before he reached between the other’s parted legs, searching for the hidden orifice. He pressed his finger lightly against the tight ring, hearing Yugi squeak a little, before slowly pressing it into him. He watched the other’s expression, searching for signs of pain, warning him that he should stop but all he saw was a mixture of love and awe reflected back at him. He smiled softly to himself and began to move the finger inside of him, letting him grow accustomed to the feel of it before pressing a second in. He scissored him gently, stretching him, preparing him the best that he could. He would kill himself before causing Yugi unnecessary pain. Finally he pressed a third finger into the other boy, halting his motions when he saw him wince. He moved his fingers slowly, carefully, searching for the spot hidden deep within the other that would make him forget the discomfort. He knew he found it when the other cried out softly, bucking his hips a little against his hand, and he grinned, loving the other’s uninhibited responses.
Finally he pulled his fingers from the other, having done as much as he could to prepare him and was about to spit into his hand, wanting to coat himself before moving forward, but was stopped when a small hand came to rest on his arm. He saw Yugi looking at him intently and watched, startled, as the other moved to his knees, settling in front of him and taking him carefully in his hand. His eyes widened and he hissed a little when the other licked at him tentatively, obviously unsure of what he was doing, When his lips closed around the tip of him it was all that he could do not to thrust up into that small, hot mouth. Barely holding back his desire he practically tore Yugi’s mouth from his length when he was fully coated when the other boy’s saliva. He laid the other back down against the grass and settled between his thighs. He gave the other a concerned look.
“Are you ready, love?”
Yugi gave him a small smile and nodded. He leaned down and kissed the other, his lips brushing his lover’s gently as he positioned himself at the other’s opening. He pressed in a little, his eyes rolling back at the tight heat, and held himself still as he watched the smaller boy’s expression.
Yugi gasped and moaned as the other began to press into him. It was painful, enough so to have him biting his lip, but the intimacy of it wasn’t lost on him and he lifted his hips slightly, urging the other to continue. Seto gave him another moment to adjust before continuing, moving slowly in him until he was buried to the hilt. The feeling of it was amazing. He couldn’t believe how it felt to have the other completely inside of him, stretching his inner walls, filling him, and the connection brought tears to his eyes.
Seto mistook the tears for those of pain and halted, leaning down to kiss away the new formed rivulets. He groaned in surprise when the smaller boy bucked his hips, forcing him to move inside of him. The friction had him forgetting to breathe. He moved slowly inside the other, withdrawing, watching the other’s face carefully, before thrusting back in, some of his control chipping away.
Yugi cried out sharply, muffling the sound in the other’s shoulder, as Seto struck that spot inside of him that his fingers had found before and he wrapped his legs around the back of the other’s thighs, forcing him to stay at that angle as he moved inside of him, continually striking that spot that had sparks exploding behind his eyes. The passion that welled up inside of him was maddening and he’d never experienced anything like it before. He thrust his hips up to meet the other, building up a steady rhythm. When Seto’s hand drifted between them to stroke him firmly, in time with his thrusts, it was more than Yugi could stand and he arched sharply off of the ground, biting down on the other’s shoulder to muffle his scream, as he came.
Hearing Yugi’s stifled sounds of pleasure and feeling his inner muscles clamp down around him almost painfully was more than enough to send him closely over the edge. He collapsed lightly on top of the other boy, both of them breathing heavy, unable to move. They held each other close, both awestruck by what had just happened.
In the afterglow of their coupling, there was no awkwardness. No fumbling for words or to cover themselves up. They held each other tightly, lazily caressing on another as they regained their energy. When they found the strength to move again they played in the cool water of the river, cleaning on another off. They laughed and splashed about like children, neither thinking about the hours to come when they would have to part, or what Seto would be facing at the castle.
With a contented sigh, Yugi pulled his sopping lover close, wrapping his arms around his waist, and placed soft kisses on his chest. He couldn’t get enough of touching the other, feeling him with him. It was still hard to believe that he was actually there with him and that it wasn’t just some impossible dream. The sun would be coming up soon and his friends would awaken. Seto would leave before then and he wanted to make the most of this time that they had together.
They might not have another chance.
He shivered at the thought as they sat together on the riverbank, drying off. Yugi sat, wrapped in his lovers arms, his body warding off any chill. Being in the other boy’s arms was incredibly comforting and he was nearly able to relax, but the thought of what his love would be facing in a few hours, alone, kept intruding on his mind, making him worry.
“Seto…?”
“Hmm?”
“Please be careful.” Yugi turned to face the taller boy. “I just found you, I don’t want to lose you.” He pleaded, tears beginning to shimmer in his eyes. Seto pulled him closer and pressed a soft kiss to his temple.
“I will. I have something important that I’m fighting for, and something just as vital to come back to. “ He assured before giving Yugi a soft smile. “ Besides, you’ll get in there soon enough. You can make sure that I don’t do anything stupid.” He joked before his expression turned surprisingly somber.
“I want you to promise me something though.”
Yugi looked up at him, curious, and nodded, motioning for him to continue. He
would do anything for Seto.
“Mokuba means everything to me. For the longest time, he was all I had. If… If I fail, I want you to promise me you’ll save him. Even if—” He cut himself off, trying to fight against the tears that threatened to spill over and work the words past the lump in his throat. He buried his face in Yugi’s hair and tried to steady himself.
“If it comes down to a choice, Mokuba comes first. If you could save him, even at the cost of my life, I want you to do it. I couldn’t stand living knowing that I was the reason that my brother wasn’t there. Please Yugi, I’m begging you. Promise me.”
Yugi’s cheeks were soaked and he nodded mutely, knowing that, if presented with such a situation, he would do as his love asked. Though he too would probably die in the process; emotionally if not physically.
“ I promise.” He managed to choke out. They held each other quietly until the sun began to peak over the horizon, intruding on their solemn peace, and they both got dressed. Seto pulled Yugi to him for one last kiss. Both of them had tears staining their cheeks as they clung to each other desperately, never wanting to let go.
In the end, Seto pulled away. He brushed his hands softly over Yugi’s cheek, wiping away the damp stream, then turned, walking away without looking back.
Yugi wanted to cry out, to run to him an beg him not to go without him, but he held himself still, watching the other’s retreating for until he could no longer see him. Brokenly, he headed back to the clearing where his friends were just starting to rouse. Joey spotted him first and instantly noticed the tears streaming uncontrollable down his face, going over to him, concerned. Yugi said nothing but threw himself into his friend’s arms and broke down, sobbing violently in fear and grief. Everyone watched him, shocked and alarmed but no one said anything as the blonde soothingly stroked the small boy’s back as he cried, fearing that he would never see his love again.
