Okay,
a new cutesy fanfic has been started. Warnings of yaoi, fluff, lemon and bizarre
pairings are necessary. The pairings are YamiXSeto, YugiXBakura, RyouXMalik,
JoeyXYami Malik and so forth. If that isn’t enough to scare you off then I hope
you enjoy the story.
I wish
I may, I wish I might

Yugi sighed softly to himself, staring sadly out the
window. The night sky was alight with thousands of stars, the sight truly
beautiful, but somehow, he couldn't make himself enjoy it.
"What's wrong, sweetling?" Asked a dark,
rich voice from behind him. The sound of it made him want to smile. He turned
to regard his lover with a thoughtful expression. Bakura was sitting on the bed
beside him, his expression showing slight concern. Which, Yugi had learned from
experience, meant that the dark one was truly worried about him. He supposed
that he had been rather subdued most of the afternoon and now well into the
night, something that was extremely uncharacteristic of him. He smiled softly
at Bakura and leaned against him, sighing lightly when he felt his love’s arms
enfold him.
“I ran into Kaiba-kun, today.” He said, feeling the
dark one tense at his words. He knew that Bakura didn’t like Seto, hell, he
didn’t like any of his friends, but Seto in particular made the fiend
uncomfortable. The tomb robber was the only one he’d ever told but, once upon a
time, Yugi had been halfway in love with the billionaire. He hadn’t found out
what real love was, though, until he and Bakura had gotten together. But since
finding out, his love had always seen Seto as competition.
He cuddled deeper into his love’s embrace to
silently reassure him.
“Things are getting worse for him. He was
practically dead on his feet when I saw him. If this keeps up, I’m afraid he
really will be.” He explained. “I just wish that he could see that he doesn’t
have to do everything by himself. He has people who are willing to help him.”
He looked back out the window, not really seeing the sky, just staring off into
space.
Bakura sighed a little. “You worry too much for
others, little one.” He murmured, tightening his hold on Yugi.. “Kaiba will
take care of himself, just as he did before any of us even knew him. He won’t
overdo it.” He reassured, trying to get Yugi to stop worrying. His little
love’s heart was too big for his own good. He was constantly afraid that it was
going to end up getting him hurt.
Yugi sighed a little and looked up at him.
“I can’t help but worry about him. He reminds me of
you.”
Bakura blinked a little, not expecting that.
“How so?”
“You used to keep everyone outside, never letting
anyone know what was going on.” He said softly, placing a small hand over the
fiend’s chest, letting it rest over his heart. “That’s what he’s doing and it
makes me worry…For both of you.”
Bakura gave the little one a rare, soft smile and
pressed a kiss to his temple. “I let you in.” He whispered, still amazed by
that turn of events. Amazed at how such a small, sweet boy had gotten past all
his defenses, seen all there was of him, and still loved him.
Yugi smiled softly at him and was content to hold
him for a moment. With a sigh he went back over to the window and looked up at
the stars, turning his thoughts inward.
Star light star bright
First star I see tonight.
I wish I may, I wish I might
Have the wish I wish tonight….
“I wish Seto could see that he’s not alone.” He
whispered.
Bakura, who had figured out what the small one was
doing, moved to Yugi’s side, taking on of his hands between his, bringing it
softly to his lips.
“You’re so selfless, so loving, Yugi. But it’s going
to take more power than even that star has to open Kaiba’s eyes.”
Seto groaned a little and rolled over, trying to
snuggle back into the warmth of the covers, not wanting to rouse from the
blissful sleep that he was in. He hadn’t been getting nearly enough sleep as of
late, and any extra rest he could get was appreciated. That was why he had
taken the day off. He was fully intent on spending it in bed, but for some
reason, his body didn’t want to cooperate.
Resigned, he sat up, blinking his eyes open,
unprepared for the sight that greeted him. Or, to be more precise, the sight
that didn’t greet him.
He sat there in the middle of his bed trying to make
his brain work well enough to form a reason, though only one thought ran
through his mind.
He was blind.
