Disclaimer: What do you think?

Dai-na: Whoo hooo!!!!!!!! Everyone break out the food. We’re having a party!!!!! And Angel-chan and Ayame are here too!!!

Angel-chan: Who-hoo, party!!

Ayame: (already hitting the punch bowl)

Yami: Dare I ask why?

Dai-na: Because, S&S got over 100 reviews. Is that a good enough reason?

Yami: (mildly chastised) I’m impressed. But do we really need to have a party?

Dai-na: SEEEEEETTTTTTTOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Seto: (Covering his bleeding ears) Yeah?

Dai-na: I order you to get Yami stinking drunk!!

Seto: (gets a devious look in his eyes) Whatever you say. (Drags Yami to punch bowl and he and Ayame fight over the punch)

Angel-chan: This can’t be good.

Y. Bakura: Was that really necessary?

Dai-na: No. But it should be fun to watch.

Y. Bakura: True.

Joey: @_@

Y. Bakura: Oh, will you wake him up already? I want to get him drunk!

Dai-na: o_O …… Fine.

And Everything Nice

By: Dai-onna

Bakura groaned as he fought to clear his mind from the persistent sleep and the haunting dreams that filled it. His back was wildly protesting the position that he was in and he struggled to remember where he was. It didn’t take long. He recalled his mental conversation with Joey, still somewhat awed by the blonde’s newfound ability.

Worry flickered into his mind and he forced his eyes open to see how his lover was doing. To his surprise he found himself staring into caramel colored orbs.

He was unable to move as he was face to face with Joey who was sitting upright in his bed, smiling at him.

“Ohayou.” The blonde murmured softly to him.

His eyes weren’t as bright as normal and his natural color had yet to return but he was awake and he was coherent. He banished the ridiculous urge to cry and instead forced himself to look out the window. It was indeed morning and he cursed himself silently for allowing himself to sleep so long. He briefly wondered what time it was.

Ryou? He called out mentally to his other. He felt the other’s surprise and hoped that he didn’t startle him too badly.

Yami? What is it?

Bakura heard the panic in his light half’s voice and hastened to assure him that nothing was wrong.

Joey’s awake. He said simply and waited for the reply.

He is!!! Bakura winced at the volume. I told the others that he was sick and we’re all coming by after school. Ryou informed him.

He grimaced. That was just what he didn’t want. The loser squad hanging around all afternoon. He would normally just go back into his ring when they showed up. After all, it wasn’t as if they bore any particular fondness for him either, but he didn’t feel like leaving Joey at any time today, or tomorrow, or the next three months. Stupid fool, he thought, making him worry like that.

He turned back to said fool to find him watching him thoughtfully, a slightly amused expression on his face. He couldn’t stand it anymore and with a grumbled curse he pulled the blonde into his arms, gingerly. He’d hated how scared and helpless he’d felt when he hadn’t been sure whether his lover would live or die. He didn’t want to admit how good it felt to have him in his arms, holding him as well. Joey’s arms wrapped around him lightly, holding him close.

Before he did something mortifying like crying he tilted the blonde’s chin up and kissed him tenderly. He didn’t realize until that moment just how much he needed it. All the tension that had built up inside of him since the previous night washed away in a flood and he moaned softly against Joey’s mouth as the blonde granted his tongue entrance.

Gods, he tasted good, Bakura thought. Unconsciously he brought a hand up and ran it through his love’s flaxen locks. The strands felt smooth and silky under his touch and his fingers slid through them easily.

Someone in the doorway cleared their throat and he reluctantly pulled from Joey’s lips, glaring at whoever it was that had interrupted them. He found his glare land pointlessly on the doctor from the previous night whom, he had decided, was immune to the deadly look.

Without bothering to hide her amusement, Gwendolyn checked over the still ailing blonde with precise movements before taking his blood pressure. While doing so, she turned her amused look on Bakura, the smile on her face forcing him to suppress the urge to fidget. Something about that knowing look made him uncomfortable. Just because he had admitted that he loved Joey to himself, and said blonde, didn’t mean that he wanted it to be obvious to everyone else.

“I don’t know how you did it.” She said to him, her voice fond. Bakura blinked a bit. His confusion must have showed because she elaborated.

“Him.” She said, pointing to Joey. “He seems to have made almost a full recovery, over night no less. I don’t like saying this, especially in front of the patient involved, but none of us were expecting him to wake up. Certainly not without significant brain damage. It’s nothing less than a miracle and it seems that you’re responsible.” She said plainly. Bakura’s eyes went slightly wide at her words and, ignoring the lump that had risen in his throat when she said that Joey hadn’t been expected to wake up, he thought about her words and Joey’s sudden ability to speak with him and Ryou mentally. The brain was a very delicate thing and the slightest things could have dramatic effects on it. It wasn’t entirely unfeasible that the disease that had plagued him could have unlocked some mental barrier, allowing him the connection. Sure it wasn’t very plausible, but it was still possible. After all, stranger things had happened. He’d fallen in love with the blonde, hadn’t he?

Still, what she had said about him being accountable for his recovery unnerved him slightly and he found his cheeks growing hot. The doctor giggled a little at his expression but she thankfully didn’t say anything. She instead turned her attention to Joey and smiled at him thoughtfully.

“Your parents have been notified that you’re awake. They’ll probably arrive shortly.” She told him. Bakura wondered if that sounded as much like a warning to Joey as it had to him.

Joey returned her smile and nodded.

The woman left the room but not before giving Bakura one more almost mocking smirk. He felt his ire rising and scowled fiercely at her retreating back. Something about that woman seriously got on his nerves.

“I love you”

He stiffened as the words were whispered softly from behind him accompanied by arms wrapping around his waist. The words seemed to echo softly in his mind and he felt something inside of him grow pleasantly warm.

“You better.” He grumbled as he turned back to face the blonde, not wanting to let go of his irritation. With a drawn out sigh he wrapped his arms around Joey, holding him close, letting his head rest on his shoulder. If nothing else dramatic happened to them in the next few days then maybe he would manage to retain his sanity.

When Joey heard footsteps in the hallway he released his hold on Bakura. He wasn’t sure how long they’d been like that after the doctor had left but he didn’t care. He loved the feel of holding the dark one and he silently wished that Ryou was there with them. A part of him wondered about how calm he was. He knew that he had just been in a near death ordeal, one he hadn’t been likely to survive and here he was, feeling perfectly fine, his brain still intact and it seemed like nothing to him. He just wanted to go home and be with his boyfriends.

He realized with a slight smile that he’d begun to think of Ryou’s house, or anywhere that he had the fiend next to him were, as his home. He belonged with them. It just seemed so obvious to him now and he wondered why he’d been so reluctant to accept it at first.

He looked up as his parents and Shizuka entered the room. His mother and sister both held concerned expressions and his father looked startled, not only to see him awake but to see Bakura sitting in the chair beside him. He was surprised to see that his father’s eyes were completely clear, something that he hadn’t seen in a while, and it looked as though he hadn’t had anything to drink in quite a long time. Given his father’s state over the past few weeks, that in itself was a testament to how worried he’d been.

With a small cry Shizuka flung herself across the room and hugged him tightly. He laughed softly and wrapped his arms around her, happy to see her again though sorry that it had taken something like this for it to happen. Though it was true that they had seen more of each other lately than they had just after their parents’ divorce. With the prize money that Yugi had given him from the Duelist Island tournament, he’d been able to pay for the surgery for his sister’s eyes and it had gone through without a hitch. Since then they had begun to visit each other as frequently as possible and wrote each other every week, not wanting to take anything for granted.

He could feel Shizuka crying tears of relief against his chest but he didn’t care. He brought a hand up to rub her back soothingly, murmuring assurances to her that he was okay. When she finally pulled away her eyes were red and puffy but she was smiling.

His mother was a repeat performance of his sister and he worried that he would be soaking wet before this was done. His father, thankfully, managed to keep his eyes dry as he enfolded him in a giant hug. Joey returned it though not a single word passed between the two. The older man reached into his pocket and pulled something out. When he saw what it was his eyes widened a little. He took his card deck from his father and gave the older man a slight smile and thanked him.

Finally his father turned his attention onto Bakura, whose expression was completely neutral, a drastic contrast to the expressions that had filled his eyes when they had been alone. His lover gave the man a cold look that left his family a little startled though Joey, himself, had grown used to it.

“I’ve been meaning to ask you, Kid, how did you and that twin of yours know to come over last night.” He demanded, though his expression wasn’t particularly fierce. Joey did his best not to snicker, not only at the fact that his father had called Bakura ‘Kid’ but at the idea that he thought that he and Ryou were twins. Joey had long since stopped seeing the resemblances between the two. Sure their features were similar but they were still very easy to tell apart, at least to him anyway. He then saved Bakura from having to answer by saying “I called them before I passed out.”

His father looked skeptical but accepted the answer, knowing that he probably wouldn’t be able to pry another reason out of the two.

While he talked with his parents, Shizuka, who had decided to be surprisingly bold, went over to Yami Bakura, who was now leaning against a far wall, and tried to coax him into a conversation.

Bakura looked the girl over. She was pretty, a soft-spoken sort that reminded him of his Hikari, with long brown hair and quiet eyes, reflecting her name, and a sweet smile as she appeared to look him over as well. He was trying to figure out how this timid creature and Joey could actually be siblings. That was, until she spoke; and then he knew.

“You’re Oniisan’s koibitto, ne? Not Ryou but his Yami.” She asked softly so that her parents wouldn’t hear. Bakura’s eyes went wide and he felt a slight flush creeping into his cheeks.

“And how did you know that?” He asked instead of answering her question. Her smile widened.

“We write each other all the time and Oniisan tells me everything. Some of it’s a little hard to believe but I know he wouldn’t lie to me.” She said confidently and he nearly smiled at the bond that he could see between her and Joey. “He drew me a picture of you and Ryou once but,” she gave him a conspiratorial smile and checked to make sure that her brother wasn’t watching. “He’s not very good. He’s much better with a camera.” She confided. His eyebrows rose and he looked over at the blonde. That was something that he hadn’t known. He was fond of photography was he? It was something that he hadn’t expected. He put a charming smile on his face and turned back to the surprisingly loquacious girl.

“Really? He all but purred. “What else is he good at?”

Finally, after what seemed like hours, his family left, leaving him once again alone with the pale-haired fiend. He had begun to grow uncomfortable when he’d noticed how well the dark one and his sister had begun to get along. His sister had already expressed a desire to meet his lovers but he wondered just what she had said now that she had met one. If she felt comfortable enough around someone then Shizuka could be a font of information. And she and Bakura had begun to seem pretty chummy. It had him wondering just what knowledge had poured out of her. She knew a little too much more about him than he was comfortable with.

Bakura had sat down on the bed and now the room was silent with them both casting looks at one another. For the first time since he had become involved with Ryou and his Yami he couldn’t think of anything to say to the dark boy.

Bakura was apparently just as uncomfortable with the silence as he was and was casting desperate glances around the room, looking for something, anything, to talk about. Finally his gaze fell on Joey’s deck of cards that sat on the table beside the bed.

“Let’s duel.”

Joey blinked at the words and he looked at his deck for a moment as if he’d never seen it before. Despite their relationship, he and Bakura had never once actually dueled each other. After a moment he decided that the idea appealed to him and he grabbed his cards. Surprisingly enough, the pants that Bakura had pulled on when he’d rushed out of the house the previous night had been the one’s that had contained Ryou’s occult deck.

They dealt out their cards and the battle actually went pretty evenly at the beginning, though, honestly most of Bakura’s cards had managed to significantly freak him out. Both of them were down to about 1000 life points and Bakura had out La Djinn. It was his turn. He put out his Goblin Strike Force that had an attack power of 2300 and took out the mystic, as well nearly half of Bakura’s life points. It unnerved him when the dark one didn’t seem the slightest bit phased and after he turned his card to defense mode, as was its effect, and ended his turn, he found out why.

Taking three of the demon monsters from his cemetery and removing them from the game he summoned the Dark Necrophia, one of his signature cards, and Joey knew that he was in trouble. The monster, while having a majorly high defense was in attack mode and all he needed was something higher than 2200. If he could draw another Goblin team it would be fine but then, he knew, if he destroyed the monster would equip to one of his cards and it would then be under Bakura’s control. He needed something that could destroy the monster as well as take out the rest of his life points. He drew a card and found himself staring at his Red Eyes. It could defeat the monster but it still wasn’t quite strong enough. He needed the Metal Morph that was still somewhere in his deck. If he had that then the Black Metal Dragon would be enough to end it.

Bakura watched as Joey planned his move, having a decent idea what he was thinking. There was really only one monster that he could create to end this. He had left his monster in attack mode as a trap for the blonde. He said nothing as Joey’s played his Angel’s Gift card, drawing three cards and then, after careful deliberation, discarding two. He set a card out in defense mode and ended his turn.

Bakura smirked to himself. He set a magic card down on the field and then played Dark Tutor, forcing Joey to draw a card. He saw the blonde’s eyes light up a bit and then played Hand Obliteration, making them both discard their hands,  Joey having to discard his Red Eyes and newly acquired Metal Morph. When they both drew their new hands Bakura used the Raise Dead card the he had just set down and revived Joey’s dragon, gaining control over it.

And then from his new hand he played Thunderbolt, destroying the defensive card and leaving the blonde’s life points open for attack.

With a curse, Joey threw his hand down and grumbled slightly as he gathered his cards, upset that he’d lost. He put his cards away and when he looked up he found Bakura staring at him intently, a mocking smirk on is lips.

“What do you want?” He demanded. “You won, geez!” The fiend’s smirk only seemed to widen and Joey grew wary as he leaned in closer.

“Yes, I won. And now I want my prize.”

Joey didn’t get a chance to say anything to that because Bakura’s mouth had covered his and was thoroughly ravaging it. He parted his lips for the other, yielding to him, more than willing to grant him this prize. Maybe losing wasn’t so bad after all. He thought absently as his hand came up the clutch the material of the other’s clothes. He would have been all too happy to stay that way if a disturbingly familiar voice hadn’t come from the doorway.

“You know, for someone who’s supposed to be mortally ill, he sure looks pretty lively.”

Bakura pulled away from his mouth with a growl and they both turned to glare at Yami who was smirking at them. Yugi had a similar expression of amusement. Seto looked like was about to start laughing at any moment. Tea and Honda both looked rather pale and Joey thought that either of the brunettes might pass out at any moment. Mai looked bored with them and Ryou, who had barely stepped into the room, was beaming, happy to see that he was okay.

Seto gave Yami a similar smirk and Joey noticed for the first time the easy affection that seemed to pass through the two and Yugi.

“It figures, the inu can’t even get sick right.” He said teasingly, giving the blonde a slight smile to show that there was no harm intended. Joey rolled his eyes and glared at him.

Ryou, who had had enough of watching, launched himself across the room and into Joey’s waiting arms. Joey laughed as he got a déjà vu feeling. He only hoped that his clothes didn’t get soaked again. To his surprise, Ryou kissed him, just as passionately as his Yami had only moments before. He returned the embrace, brushing his lips softly over the other’s.  He sighed and would have lost himself in the feeling but Yami’s laughter ruined the moment.

Not releasing the boy, he glared at the pharaoh then smirked deviously, causing the spike haired boy to back up a few steps in surprise.

“Yeah, laugh all you want, Yami. But now that my relationship is out in the open, I have no particular reason to keep your little secret.” He said lightly, taking a sadistic delight in the startled look that crossed the other’s face. Both he and Yugi looked slightly worried and he saw Seto give him a death glare when everyone’s attention turned to Yami.

Both Ryou and Bakura looked at him in surprise because, true to his word, he hadn’t even told them about Yugi, Yami and Seto.

What secret? Ryou asked curiously.

That’s what I want to know.

Joey spared them both a glance and figured the Yami Bakura was only curious because he wanted something that he could hold over Yami’s head. He shrugged a little.

‘Take a look at Yugi and Yami and at the person who’s giving me murderous glares and figure it out.’ He said.

Both pale-haired boys looked at the two and then saw that Seto looked like he was planning Joey’s death. Bakura was the first to catch on and he let out a short bark of laughter. Ryou’s eyes widened as he too understood and laughed softly at the expressions on their faces. Thankfully the others didn’t notice, since they were too busy trying to pry into Yugi and Yami’s personal lives and Joey sighed slightly as he leaned back against the headboard a little, suddenly tired. He let his eyes drift shut, blocking out the sounds the others were making.

Are you okay? Ryou’s voice was soft and concerned as it resonated through his head and he smiled slightly, not bothering to open his eyes.

‘Yeah, Just a little tired, I guess.’

In the back of his mind he heard Yami Bakura ushering everyone out of the room with his usual ‘if you don’t I’m gonna kill you’ manner and then the room was quiet. When a soft hand closed over his he realized that Ryou had stayed in the room with him and he was thankful for his company.

He laid down against the pillows and looked up at the sweet boy who was watching him. He pulled him down and softly claimed his lips, finishing the kiss that had been interrupted. Ryou moaned softly and leaned into him, bringing a hand up to rub across his cheek. Joey leaned into the touch, even as he pulled back for air.

Suddenly, more than before, he wanted to get better so that he could get out of this hospital and go home, where he belonged, with Ryou and Bakura. He wanted them desperately and was eager to show them just how much he loved them.

He let his eyes drift shut once again, lulled by Ryou’s soft, cool hand that still rested on his face. With a sigh he let sleep claim him, his mind filled with images of the ones he loved as he got some much needed rest.

~~Owari~~

Well, I didn’t really want to stop there but I felt if I wrote another word then I was gonna scream.

Joey: It’s about time. Why couldn’t you make someone else fatally ill? Why me?

Dai-na: Cause you’re so cute when you’re dying ^__^

Joey: -_-;;;;;  You’ve been drinking the punch, haven’t you?

Dai-na: Yep!

Y. Bakura: Why do you even have alcoholic punch? You’re only 16!

Dai-na: Hey, I’ll be 17 at the end of the month so nyah!! Besides, it’s not my fault. My mom has a bad habit of pouring rum in Lemonade.

Angel-chan: Somehow that explains sooo much.

Joey: Oh yeah.

Ayame. This party has gotten boring. I’m gonna go hit the casinos. (the party is at Dai-na’s place in Las Vegas)

Angel-chan: How, you don’t have any money?

Ayame: I stole Seto’s wallet while he was getting Yami Yuugi drunk.

Angel-chan: -_-;;;;;;;;;;;;;…………….. Hey, wait for me!!!!!!

Dai-na: ^_^;; Um, well, anyway. Thanks again for everyone reviewing my stories and I hope you liked this chapter. There should actually be lemon in the next.

Ryou, Joey and Y. Bakura: Good!!!!

Um…… Anyway, please review.
