Gateway Celtic recorded their biggest victory yet this season with a 4-0 win over Falcons United. On a stormy Monday evening, Celtic took to the pitch in their green and white hoop jerseys and took control of the game early on. We went ahead 1-0 at half-time courtesy of a goal by our rookie Coco Kissack. Three further goals were recorded later into the second half with a goal from the top of the box by Tammy Rivard, a goal by Lori Bodner who received a great cross from Annemiek Willemze and the fourth goal came from a great strike outside the 18 yard box by Susie Pilz. But as always, credit has to be given to the WHOLE TEAM for this win as we plugged the mid-field and defended like mad in the 2nd half. Lisa Fosty played her first game for Celtic and had a great start to her season with fantastic defending. Jen Ahi, Leigh Mollison, Lisa Rivard, Suzanne Guimond and Andrea Hilderman also played in the back and did a great job accompanied by mid-fielders, Tammy Rivard, Heidi Robinson, Laura Robinson, Lori Bodner, Annemiek Willemze and Susi Pilz who also shifted to a forward player. Strikers Rina Giancola, Norie Olynyk, Coco Kissack and Lianna Merner who also played mid-field. Keeper Lisa Sansregret recorded a 2nd shutout. Kudos to all!! |
