Journal #6 How is a window like an opportunity?

             A window is like an opportunity in several ways.  A window can open one to new surroundings and new interactions and a new being.  An opportunity, similarly, can bring one to a new place and a new sense of being.  Windows open and let in a new climate or a new environment that they would otherwise be sheltered from.  Many opportunities can bring people to new places or environments and can lead them to new surroundings that they would otherwise never experience being sheltered from that opportunity.  A window can let in fresh air that, like an opportunity, bring in a new and reinvigorating sense to a person.  An opportunity often brings people to new experiences and new surroundings.  When an individual opens a window, they are also exposed to new experiences and ideas that are outside of that window, and new surroundings that, if the window were closed, would be completely inaccessible to that person.  A window and an opportunity both bring about change to a person, somewhere between a subtle alteration or a life changing event.
