Well, my first entry in my journal. So far, I have picked my surgeon and am quite happy with him. I will have to have the open gastric bypass due to prior surgeries. I am not that overjoyed that it will be an open surgery but I will be happy once it is all done! I am in the beginning stages right now. I am trying to get approved so I am rounding up all of my previous dr.'s notes stating that my health would be improved by weighing less. Isn't that funny that they cannot just look at you and realize that you NEED the surgery? Anyway, I am very nervous for my surgery but excited all at the same time. My sister's surgery is in 4 days and I am SOOOOOO excited for her! Good Luck, Jude!
11/12/2003 Boy, a lot has happened in the last couple months! Judy's surgery did not go as planned and I decided NOT to go through my surgery!!! I am totally against it now. My sister is suffering because of her surgery. I am now on the Atkins diet. It is not coming off the way that it would with surgery but I feel great! I have been on this diet for around 3 weeks and I am down 9 lbs. Wish me luck!
