the latest effort by suburban psych-effigy Thom Brush resembles a contused limb on Oakville pavement. it was recorded with a startling lo-fi agenda on a cheap boombox which evidently battered the input into a nagging open wound, prickling with dead skin around the edges and white, chewed up gristle crumbling out. what's captured within is an account of thom's ventures into sonic stupefaction, songs improvised from convoluted acoustic guitar ragas, bulldozed electronics on the sun-blinded plane and an organ that sounds like it will perpetually play the soundtrack to mulholland drive through the caroliner vortex...
