This is where it all started. Shortly after getting my first Bass I joined up with these guys in 1984, my freshman year in high school. I was in this band and really couldn't even play much. That's O.K, they couldn't much either. So we practiced together and learned. We had a strict practice schedule, we started with originals but eventually relied on Black Sabbath and Kiss to fill up the set list. It didn't take us long before we were doing shows. There isn't much we didn't achieve as a high school band, playing backyard parties, playing church festivals, we were playing bars before I even had a drivers liscense. One thing that really stands out is when we won our high school battle of the bands with a legendary performance I truely cherish. Anybody that was there knows what I mean. We placed 2nd the year after we won. Through the years of high school we changed guitarists alot, sometimes we'd have two, but always better with one. So we did what school kids did best, that was beat the crap out of each other. The band did dissolve a couple years after high school.
The drummer Derek had restarted Letching Grey quite a few years after high school, Sean the singer had moved back from up north and was living with Derek. I was not with them, for I was in Carbide. They worked up to saving the money and had plans to record 6 songs in a professional studio. Just before they were going into the studio their Bass player quit, so they called me to step in. This was late 1994. I was honored to take part in Letching Grey, it was like destiny. We rehearsed for the sessions and the chemistry was still there. Just like old times, we had a blast. I was swinging 2 bands at the time, we knew after the recordings they would have to find a Bass player. We finished the recordings and played one show, all were very impressive. They released the music and continued with another Bassist, as did I continue with Carbide. Today the band is inactive but in my heart,  I will always be the Letching Grey Bassist.
Unfortunatly we don't have many pictures. There are pictures Doug (the original guitarist) has that I want from the school battle, some from the Falcon and Blondies.
