Stealing Vegatables
Merry and Pip where in the farmer�s crop again. They both knew they shouldn�t have been there, especially after all the times they had been caught, and after all the scolding and advice from the other hobbits in the Shire, but they just couldn�t help it. Mischievousness was in their very veins, and who would they be to ignore that? Besides, the Farmer grows some mean vegetables. Merry quietly crept over to where the carrots were being kept. You had to be extra careful when picking carrots from the crop, because there was not as much leaf cover as some of the other vegetables and such. The Farmer, however, didn�t seem to be anywhere in sight. With a smirk of victory Marry stumbled in clumsily and started picking carrots and throwing them into a bag on his back, now nearly full with other types of delicious vegetables. When he had picked a good number of carrots, he backed off back into the brush. However, as he was backing up to exit, he spied upon a carrot that had been pulled up but not bagged. It was so plump and orange, it nearly called for him to eat it right there and then. And he couldn�t ignore his stomach. He grabbed it and bit into it, making a very loud yet delicious crack. Oh no! Here comes the Farmer!
