Water Heaters
Gas Water Heating is without a doubt the quickest, most efficient way to heat water for your home. Here is a comparison: If you have a 40 Gallon Electric Heater that runs on 240VAC and you drain your tank, it will take between 1 1/4 and 2 hours to completely reheat 40 gallons of water. If you have a 40 Gallon, 40,000 BTU Gas Water Heater and you drain the tank, it will take approximately 20 minutes to completely reheat your water.

The Standing Pilot water heater (pictured left) is the most common heater found in the marketplace. It is economical and delivers superb heating. You have to manually light the pilot on occasion and the vent has to be metal and has to extend through your roof.

The Direct Vent Electronic Ignition water heater (pictured left) is a specialty heater. It has electronic ignition which means that you never have to light your pilot. It also has a small motor on the exhaust of the heater that actually forces the burned gases out of the vent- verses the draft vent of the standing pilot. Because of this force, you can use PVC (plastic) vent pipe and can vent it right out the side wall of your garage, or whichever room your water heater happens to be located. This is really handy in circumstances where the water heater is located in your garage, and you have a Master Bedroom directly above you or another example is if you just did not want a vent pipe coming out of your roof.
