My Stereo Page!!

This page is dedicated to all those people out there who have a passion for car audio! It's a sickness!! I got bit about 5 years ago and I haven't been able to listen to a "stock" radio since. I didn't have my Jeep for a day and I had already replaced the radio. It had to be done! LOL...I hope you might get a few idea's on how to set up your Jeep with a system. It was tough finding the right components. They had to be rugged and small (you know there isn't alot of room). Most of all it all had to be some what weather proof.

I chose a Clarion drx9575 for the radio. It has a cd, motorized face and real cool graphics (see the shooting stars) not to mention alot of other great features :-) For a sub I used a Kicker 12" SoloBarric (it is the best small box sub you'll find) and everyone knows how little space you have behind the rear seat. The box is only 7" deep!! It spans the full lenth of the back but there is a partion in the box to make up the correct sealed volume. The box is made of Medex it is a waterproof sound board. I weather proofed it further by painting it with a color match interior paint. The amp you see is color matched to the green on the seats. It is actually two amps  with a center conector. They are a Mtx 4320 and Mtx 280 They put out plenty of power and I haven't fried one yet (that a miracle for me) I like it "Loud"    You know how annoying the wind is on the highway with the top off!! I don't notice it anymore!!!!!

For front speakers I used 5 1/4 Kicker Resolutions. Which I had to be coustom fit in to the stock 4x6 location (it only took the removal of alittle dash suport metal)LOL... I couldn't find any 4x6 speakers that could take the pounding I gave them (you could say I cooked a few). I flush mounted the tweeters on the factory speaker grill as you can see in the pics. It gave it a nice factory look as well as keeping them off the doors which are off most the summer. They sound awsome!! I am really happy with them!

In the factory sound bar I replaced the speakers with 5 1/4 Kicker Impulses. I also stuffed the sound bar with polly fill (like the inside of a pillow) It made it sound alot more deap and gave it great mids. In the center console I installed a 6 disk Clarion changer (I have to say I've been off road and it don't skip) plus it is safe from the weather and theft (if they want it they need to take the whole console out to get it) thats how I put it in. :-) I also have a Clarion 9700z DSP unit mounted on the drivers side fire wall inorder to keep it dry and out of the way. It adds alot of sound options to really complete the system!!
