The concept of evolution reinforces itself in every walk of life and it is no short in the field of engineering.
"MECHATRONICS"-A synergetic integration of the two domains,mechanical and electronics, coupled with automaion , is the culmination in the advancement of engineering.Mechatronics nudges the boundries of next generation engineering which is a science of limitless possiblities encompassing a variety of new technologies like MEMS,Nanotech,Machine Vision.Inventive thinking ,throwing light on Aritificial Intelligence,Knowledge based systems , is the pivot around which the mechatronics wheel revolves.
Thiagarajar college of engineering launced mechatronics in academics in the year 1998 against all odds.Since then mechatronics department has grown with only sky as its limits.Innumerable contests such as "SOFTRONICS", "HARDTRONICS", "TECHNOQUIZ", "CREATRONICS" are organized as a measure to satisfy the students insatiable thrist for knowledge and appease thier relentlessquest for excellence.
"Coming events cast thier shadow before" so goes the saying , Mechatronics has rather projected its impact in a striking fashion that its impact over the future can never be discounted by any stretch of imagination.The mechatronics engineers placed all over the world in various MNCs forming thier backbone stand witness to this. So gear up for the MECT revolution.
