WHAT ELSE IS IN OUR UNIVERSE?

WHAT ARE COMETS?
We know that comets are lumps of ice and dust that periodically come into the center of the solarsystem from somewhere in its outer reaches, and that some comets make repeated trips. When comets get close enough to the Sun, heat makes them start to evaporate. Jets of gas and dust form long tails that we can see from Earth. These tails can sometimes be millions of miles long.

WHAT ARE ASTEROIDS?
An asteroid is just like any of the bodies revolving around the Sun; mini-planets if you like. They are probably made up of the same stuff of most other bodies in our solar system, just that they are much smaller. Some have diameters of up to 500 miles and then some only 100 meters; the largest asteroids are called planetoids.

WHAT ARE METEORITES?
A meteorite is a rock that was formed elsewhere in the Solar System, was captured by Earth's gravitational field, and fell to Earth as a solid object. A meteoroid is what we call the rock before it strikes the Earth. A meteor is visible streak of light that occurs as the rock passes through the atmosphere and exterior of the rock is heated to incandescence. (What to call it at the moment it hits the ground is a matter of debate. Some people say "meteorite impact," others say "meteoroid impact.") Most (~99.8%) meteorites are pieces of asteroids. A few rare meteorites come from the Moon and Mars.

DO ALIENS REALLY EXIST?
To date there has been little evidence of wether extra terrestrials or "aliens" actually exist or not. Government activity such as AREA 51 suggest they are trying to cover up such existances from the public. The famous Roswell crash has been examined by thousands as to wether or not it was actually real or it was just a well planned hoax. Most people see aliens as being little green men with big black eyes but in reality any sign of life outside of eaths atmosphere is classed as an "alien" wether it be a single cell on a planet or as recently found proof of water on Mars.
