| James Cordall 1792-1865 |
| James Cordall was christened James CAUDEN at St. Mary's Church in Bucknall, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire. In 1815 he was married to Ann Deavil in the the name of James Cordal. Ann died two years later, in 1817. In 1831 James married Eliza Goodfellow, she died in 1832. In 1834 James married Hannah Cordal, the widow of Sampson, his brother. Hannah was not only his sister in law, but also the sister of Eliza, James' second wife. |
| James had five brothers, John,Benjamin, Sampson, William and Charles. Their father was James,b. 1773. His father was John, b. 1747. John died in 1826 and lies in the graveyard of St. Mary's church in Bucknall, Stoke on Trent. |
