After watching my grandmother struggle with chronic lung disease I did some research and was shocked to learn that every year, close to 342,000 Americans die of lung disease. It is America's number 3 killer, responsible for one in seven deaths. Most lung disease is chronic. More than 35 million Americans are now living with chronic lung disease.
Lung disease is not just from smoking. Its is also caused from the AIR WE BREATH. Air pollution has been linked to cardiovascular disease, respiratory illness and premature death. The ALA has a history of addressing the most significant threats to lung health of our time. I need your help in raising money so the ALA can continue their efforts before another person dies.
