Guitar
I am learning to play the guitar (accoustic).
There is probably going to be a fair amount of information here about
music in general. My
music
page is really more about my music collection (i.e. Music Appreciation).
Guitar Information
Sheet Music Software
-
Muscript
is a program that takes it's own musical notation
(documented on its web site)
and turns it into sheet music in
PostScript
format.
You could then use
GhostScript
to convert to PDF if you prefer.
GhostView
is a PostScript viewer.
Muscript is a
Perl
program (you need Perl to run it).
Perl, PostScript, GhostScript, GhostView are all
Unix
oriented software, but there is a Windows version of Perl
and GSview is a Windows version of GhostView (you can use
it to print PostScript files to non-PostScript printers).
-
Lilypond
is a music editor that allows you to produce sheet music or MIDI files.

Metronome programs
you can download and run on your computer, palm pilot, etc.
that I list on my

Music Theory
-
Harp On
- site for chromatic harmonics, but much of the music theory carries over.
-
Gilbert DeBenedetti

He has some free sheet music (mostly for Piano) you can download from
his homepage. He also has a web page on music theory called,
