the movie starts out with 2 police officers examinig an abandoned boat. while onboard 1 of the police officers is attacked and killed by what appears to be a zombie. the other officer shoots it off the boat and heads to the shore. it turns out that the boat was the main characters father. she hadnt herd from her father in several months so she decides to investigate it late that night. while onboard she meets adam west(ian mucholoch) a reporter who is looking for clues.they find a letter that says he is on the island of matool so they hitch a ride with another couple. upon arriving the boat has problems and they are forced to find help. they run into a doctor who tells them that her father fell victim to an unexplained disease which allows the newly dead to stand up and walk. they are forced to kill hundreds of zombies to stay alive.

i love this movie so much it is lucio fulci's best movie in my opinion.it has everything i look for in a horror movie nudity,pointless,bad acting and gory and original deaths scenes. it is deffinitly my favorite zombie movie. gore:there is tones of the red stuff and very cool death scenes including a girl getting a piece of wood slowly shoved into her eye, very nasty zombie bites, a zombie attacking a shark and a car hitting a zombie. Fun times! nudity: 2 hot naked italian chicks show all! Fun times! action: starts in the beggining, slows down and then from the middle on picks up wonderfully. Fun times! scary: na! zombies arent scary, just funny. Fun times! WIERD: ofcourse its wierd, were talking the dead standing up and walking! fun times! story: a typical cheesy zombie story with a classic ending. Fun times overall: one of the greatest films ever made buy it cherish i! fun times! fun times! fun times!
