The underworld has more than a great deal of good things going for it. Great story, great actors, great Fx, and one of the hottest actresses i have seen in a very long time. the characters are great with only a few exceptions.the confusing plot twists only added in my opinion. the way there was no good and bad side really was a great thing. its not like many movies you see today because it has you thinking the whole time and when you think you have figured it out it punches you right in the gut with another plot twist.
the characters were great, in my opinion the best character was the lead werewolve "Lucian"(didnt see that coming!) he was very believable and downright badass. the only weak character that comes to mind is "Craven" the idea of the character was great but ithink they chose the wrong actor fo that part. so who was i goin for? lets see
both sides had there ups and downs. The vampires were more dark and classy. and much better looking! whereas the Likens were much more badass and pretty much kicked the vamps asses throughout the whole film. with the exception of "VICTOR" who i dont care what anyone says is a badass mofo! those teeth on Kate Beckinsale really got me goin(groooooowl!) but ther was only one bite throughout the whole damn movie from a vamp. who one you ask? well ill tell you.......wait no i wont! you will have to find out for yourself
Gore: lots of bullet holes, cuts and bitings.a head split in half and lots of needles!
Nudity: unfortunately Kate beckinsale kept her close on but we do get her in some tight leather and the lead dude shirtless
Pace: great pace, i was never bored
Scary: if your scared of vampires then its a 1/5 but if you are scared of werewolves its a 5/5 because those damn things had me squeezing the little phillipino boys hand that was sitting next to me
Story: great story, i loved the twists.
overall: a matrix meets blade film that is worth a viewing. trust me! you will have a blast!
