i am a big fan of john carpenter. i loved all the halloweens and the fog was also very good. i had heard good things about the thing so i went out and bought it. it didnt let me down. it was very well set up and written. the special effects were awsome and the acting was also very good. people and critics didnt appresiate the gore but who cares. i thought it was awsome. it has that classic feel to it and a fun movie to watch. i deffinitly suggest the thing because it is a classic.
gore: enough to satisfy. we got some bitten off hands, dead dogs, a ripped of face, some nasty bites, a gross autopsy and a big nasty alien. fun times
nudity: sorry fellas no chicks!
action: the movie has a good pace about it. you wont get bored.
scary: its pretty creepy, there are some parts that will make you jump.
wierd: the monster itself is very creative and wierd. they took it all the way.
story: the story is well written and has a great feel to it
overall a great movie if your in the mood for a classic.
