Story:4/5
Overall:4.5/5
The story starts out by telling us that a number of grave robbings have been going on somewhere in rural Texas. we then join a group of young teens in a van driving to that location to check on a family members grave to see if it has not been tampered with in any way. not wanting to drive all the way back from where they came from they decide to stay at an old family members abandoned cabin/home. when they finnaly get there they start to settle in and 2 of them venture off to see what is around. soon they come to another home and see that they have gas which the vann desperetly needs. so they knock on the door. when knowone answers 1 of them ventures in, and is bruttaly attacked and killed by leatherface. when he doesnt come back the other one gets worriede and also ventures in and is kidnapped and hung on a meathook by leatherface. soon one by one each of the teens are being kidnapped until its shocking conclusion.

the texas chainsaw massacre is a classic of a completely different nature.its not a classic like frankstien that everyone must see and horror would have never been the same without it. its a classic because it stays with you and leaves a very funny feeling in your stomach . you find yourself wondereing about humanity like you have never done before. you find yourself questioning everything you know. when i first watched tcm late one night i found my self not as shocked as i thought i woould, about 2 years later i rented the film again. that 2nd time around i had a completely different opinion on this film. it did indeed shock me and also leave me with something that stayed  with me. so horror fans of any kind should watch Texas chainsaw massacre to find out how the world really is and hey it might even be a learning experience. although the film itself is not a true acount, things like this really go on and you might find yourself thinking that the world isnt as perfect as you might think that it is.

Gore: not overly gory but we do get a number of cut hands, a nasty seen that involves a meat tenderizer, a girl hung on a meat hook and some bloody bodies

Nudity: surprisingly none at all

Pace: the film itself is only 84 minutes long so the pace is just fine

Scary: terrifying and very hard on the mind

Story: based on the life of Ed Gien mixed in with a little screwed up imagination the story is enough to make anyones styomach turn

Overall as i said before it is a classic in its own way and should be viewed by any and every horror fan
