A girl from New york comes to a prestigious Ballet college in England. while there a series of bizzare murders start to accur. she soon finds out that the place was founded by a witch and the people who own it now are also witches. she must destroy the head witch to survive and get rid of all the others.

this is the hardest review that i have ever done. i read alot of reviews before i went out and bought this one. i read that it was a classic and i read that it was a major let down. in my opinion it was both. it is a good movie that qualifies to be a classic, yet it is one of the slowest movies that i have ever seen. when i bought it i read on the front that it was one of the scariest movies of all time. which is not true. it does have its creepy moments but it doesnt qualify to be the scariest movie of all time. what also was a let down is that there is not much gore and there is only 4 kills if you count the witch. if you are patient i suggets this one. but also if your in the mood to watch a great movie i suggest this one. Confused?

Gore: there is a multiple stabbing and hanging scene which "Weekly times" calls "the most vicious murder scene of all time" i disagree but it is still pretty bad. there is an impaling, glass in the face, slit throat, stab in the neck and a ripped out throat.

nudity: none! another let down

action: its there, but like i said. it is one of the slowest movies ive ever seen.

scary: its pretty creepy at times, and argento's lighting makes a big impact.

wierd: its wierd because it is incredibly confusing.

Story:pretty lame, but original. this movie would have been ten times better with better writing.

overall the movie was a classic and a let down. i think Argento wanted more but didnt quite make it. it is still worth seeing maybe buying because it is a good movie.
