this movie is very very atmospheric. the lighting is great and it ads to the the mood and makes it spookier. there are incredibly chilling parts that will make your skin crawl. i have to admit that i almost jumped out of my seat a number of times. the movies good aspects shadow over its bad. i am usually skeptical about pg:13 horror movies but i will give this the credit it deserves. it has a great very unexpected ending. it is one of the best movies of 2002 and probably the best horror movie of 2002. it is always great to see a good ghost movie and this is most deffinitly one of them.
gore: no, none of that but this movie doesnt really need it. its not a gorefest that you sit in lagh at. its one that will scare the piss out of you.
nudity: shit! nicole kidman left her shirt on in this one. but who cares its so damn dark you wouldnt be able to see anyway
action: slow paced but very suspenceful
scary: very very creepy. scary,suspenceful scenes that will have you squeezing the hand of the person next to you.
wierd: ya, creepy wierd. some scenes are very wierd. yes, including the old lady scene.
story: this movie is very well written and nicole kidman plays the character perfect. the kids also add a spooky element to the story.
overall it is cool and fun and very spooky if i had to use 1 word to describe it, it would be ATMOSPHERIC!!!!
