A blind woman gets a cornea transplant so that she is able to see again. soon after she starts seeing strange appirations and terrifying ghosts. She soon finds out the horrible truth and sets out to make it right....

It is a rarety these days for a horror film to scare me. I have seen so much and been scared of so little. but one thing i cannot get used to is....ghosts! i hate e'm, they terrify me. Every once in a while a ghost movie will come along that will scare the pants off me. And "the Eye" is one of those movies. The horrific and very suspenceful scenes with appirations are nothing less than breath takinglly scary. They had me looking behind all night long. The ghosts that were seen in this film werent just dead people, they didn't just float around. no no, they talked, they ran, they floated and they were absolutely terrifying. What also adde to the horro of the film was the suspence. Some scenes such as the elevator scene(shivers) had me holding my breath till it was over, i was litteraly paralyzed by fear.
The movie borrowed from many movies but put it's own twist to the ideas making it very original in it's own way. The acting was great especially by the main character. The atmosphere was exactly how a movie like this should be and the mood was always quiet and calm until one of the girls visions.
So Garrett, why didn't this film get a perfect score?
Some flaws in the writing and some out of place characters made the film a bit unnatural seeming at times. her "psychiatrist" seems very out of place and is the last guy you would expect to be a doctor. Other than that though, i loved the film. It didn't need gore or nudity to make me love it. It scared the hell out of me and for that it deserves a lot of credit. One of 2003's best horror films in my opinion and i hope the "Pang brothers" come out with another movie soon because ive gorwn to be a huge fan of asian horror.

Gore: some disturbing images but aside from that, this plate is dry

Nudity: nope...

Pace: B E A uitful! the horror starts as soon as the credits are done rolling.

Scary: Are you kidding? this film scared me more than any film to date, that's what makes it great.

Story: Not too original but carries it's own...

Overall: the film scared the hell out of me and thats what i love in horror. Its very hard to scare me but "The eye" did a great job and had a blast doin it.
