| A curse has caused a young girl named Reagan(Blair) to start acting very strangely. at first her mother doesnt think much of it but as Reagan gets worse she decides to get her checked out. the doctors do many tests and tell the mother that there is nothing magerly wrong with her but that she might be suffering from dipression and may need to take riddilin. the mother doesnt by it and takes Reagan to a psychologist. the psychologist doesnt help and Reagans state is turning from bad to horrific. feeling helpless the mother resorts to the last thing that she thought she would ever have to do. she asks a young priest to perform an exorcism. What is there to say about the exorcist. it is the scariest horror movie of all time and to many(including myself) the greatest horror film ever made. the Exorcist has done many great things for horror. it has stood the test of time more than any movie i can think of. the visual effects are better than any horror movie i have seen and don't seem cheesy or dumb in any way at all. if the movie came out today it would be just as controversial as it was in the 1970's when it was put out. it goes without saying that the exorcist is a classic, but it's more than that. it's a masterpiece that even though may offend, should be seen by all. Gore: not too much blood but scenes that will make you cringe. like when the doctors are taking blood from Reagans neck. also in my personel favorite scene in the movie where Reagan is masterbating with the crucifix. lots of green goo Nudity:none to speak of. Pace: i will admit that the movie runs along a very very slow pace but the movie is worth it Scary: as the tagline suggests "The scariest movie of all time" Story: one o=f if not the most in depth, and breathtaking stories ever put on the big screen Overall the exorcist is more than a horror film to me. in my eyes it stands above and beyond any horror film to date. it is simply a "masterpiece" |
