Cannibal Ferox rivaled with "Cannibal holocaust" over the title of best Cannibal film for many years. i saw canhol(cannibal holocaust) first and canfer(cannibal ferox) 2nd and liked canhol much better as a film. but what i found from canfer is that all the really really sick stuff that i "heard" was in canhol, ended actually being in canfer. all of the sick "real" animal death scenes i always thought were taken out of my dvd but then i rented canfer and found that they were all shown in graghic detail in the film. the turtle being dismembered and eaten, a muskrat being slowly squeezed to death by an anaconda, a overly large lizard tearing a python to pieces etc. those scenes really really got me and i found myself feeling physically ill while watching them. also other infamous scenes like when the man is tied to the post(alive) gets his eye gouged out with a knife and his penis cut off and eaten(sick,sick stuff) it was a gorrier film but didn't even compare to canhol's direction and great story. so which do i suggest? both, belive it or not! i suggest seeing canhol for its sick scenes and great story and cruelty. and canfer for its all out grosse scenes and its lack of mercy for humans and animals.
Gore: are you kidding, i really cannot even begin to describe the graghicness of this film. everything and everyone dies a gruiling death whether it be human, animal or even bugs!
Nudity: lots of naked cannibals(meeeeeeee-oooooooow!)
Pace: fine pace, i dont think i got bored like i did with canhol
Scary: cheesy and sick, but not really scary

Overall: it may not live up to its rival film(canhol) but canfer still manges to give the goods and lets you have a disgusting fun ride
