    Warning: Spoiler in Third Paragraph
The film did a good job of evoking repulsion toward food within me, although Im not so sure if thats what the filmmaker intended. The basic story is of a married woman who takes food way too seriously (associating it with sex,) and when people do not share this absolute passion of hers then she resorts to unpleasant behavior. Unlike what it easily couldve been, the film never becomes a mindless slasher flick and concentrates itself mostly upon achieving a brooding, psychological sense of horror. This only works reasonably well because of the fact that these characterizations arent completely believable, the often melodramatic dialogue is quite poor, and the ludicrous storyline never really leads up to an effective payoff.

The films narrative is structured mainly upon flashbacks, which can be both frustrating and intriguing. The good thing is that the camerawork (particularly the dollying) is quite smooth and commendable the flashbacks are done simply but creatively. As we learn about these characters depressing life stories through their flashbacks, the film also creates quite a creepy atmosphere.

However as aforementioned the film just doesnt come together very well in the long run. The 302 character, for instance, suddenly decides to immolate herself (basically contradicting everything that she had previously stood for) and were never given a convincing explanation for this action, thus the whole thing just becomes ridiculous. And the ending is far too obscure we never find out what really happened during that police interrogation and the story concludes on a needlessly ambiguous note.
