This is the back side of Victoria ridge. The guide book says that you can take this route back to the Valley floor. Wayne and I did follow this route, but be forewarned, it is VERY EASY to get on to the wrong ridge line. Wayne and I made this mistake as the mosquitos were so bad that we walked fast to keep ahead of them and did not pay close enough attention. It was only to late that we realized we had made a mistake. Being that we are experienced route finders we made our own way to the next camp. I would not reccomend such a thing in this country especially, unless you are good at it, as there are very few land marks one in the trees.
This is where we realized that we had made a mistake. There was enough wind from the valley to keep the mosquitos away so we rested here and ate lunch.  It was kind of funny because as I looked up the valley I saw the land mark the should have been directly to our front.  I commented to Wayne that it seemed we were slightly misplaced.
This is the peak above Meadow lake, it is where Victoria ridge ends. The view from up here is simply stunning.
