The Orcs of Middle-Earth

The orcs of middle-earth are foul creatures created thousands of years ago from elves by being tortured and mutilated into orcs. They are generally muscly and black-blooded and long-fanged, but different variations have developed in different tribes and they are sensitive to strong sunlight. They live in Mordor and Isengard are under the control of Sauron and Saramun. There are Goblin orcs who live in Moria who have taken over the caves there. They like to wreak havoc and destruction at any oppurtunity they can find.

The Goblin Orcs from Moria have evolved differently from those above ground in light. Because these orcs have been living underground for years their growth has been stunted and they are small in stature. They have enlarged eyes so they can see better in the dark too.

Saruman crossed goblin orcs with orcs to breed a new army called the Uruk-hai. They are taller, more muscly and stronger. They live in Isengard under the control of Saruman.
