Tolkien's Hobbits

Hobbits are the earth-loving creatures who live in the north west corner of middle-earth. Even though they are small in stature (they are about 3 foot 6 inches tall), they eat surprisingly a lot - seven meals a day including two breakfasts! Generally, hobbits are quiet folk who keep to themselves, love eating, smoking pipes, sleeping and tea. They are unfamiliar with war and battles.You can recognise a hobbit for his/her size. They are 3 foot six inches, have pointy ears, shabby hair and huge hairy feet.

They generally prefer to live underground in 'holes'and stick to a simple life. In the Lord of the Rings three movies, the hobbits are played by Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Billy Boyd, Dominic Monaghan and Ian Holm.
