Heart's Ache
Twisting in misery
a heart broken by chance
choices made
love unfelt
love felt
and expectations never met
Eyes lock
thoughts are exchanged
souls bind
one to the other
meshing perfectly
even where life will not allow
Secrets are revealed
scars are brought to light
pain is lessened and healed
desires are made known
fantasies are fulfilled
reasons are found
It all seems to make sense
despite the confusion
despite the pain
despite knowing it cannot be as desired
despite the love
this scar will not heal as easily as the rest
