Andrew Nunez, President To: EGCC Supporters I greet you in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. I want to remind you about the Garifuna Day Celebration on April 8, 2006. I am inviting you and your family to come out and participate in this event and asking your help for the following items: 1. Can you donate a Garifuna dish/food for sale and display? Let me know what you will do. 2. If you want to display or sell any item bring your table (a donation will be appreciated). 3. I would like your children to help get involved in the activities. 4. If your children want to participate in the Garifuna Contest, let me know ($5.00 registration fee and Garifuna outfit suggested) There will be three prizes (each will receive a plaque and a gift) The Garifuna Contest will consist of: 1. Introduce themselves in Garifuna 2. Garifuna words 3. Garifuna Sentences 4. Knowledge of Garifuna History 5. Read a Garifuna story from �Walagante� 6. Read Scriptures from the Garifuna Bible (Psalms chapter 1, 23, 100, Matt 6:9-13) 7. Write a few sentences in Garifuna Bible knowledge Contest in Spanish and English |
