Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ." I pray that all is well with your congregation. I am writing to inform you that the EGCC Executive Board has established the following membership criteria which will determine priority for benefitting from such EGCC programs (A) active involvement in EGCC including sending delegates to the EGCC Monthly Meetings, (B) contributing to EGCC, and (C) designating an active EGCC advocate.
Each congregation is encouraged to designate an EGCC advocate based on the following provisions from the EGCC bylaws:
(1) The EGCC advocate must be an active member of the congregation and actively perform the advocate roles. The advocate is to be one of the congregation's EGCC delegates.
(2) The congregation must have an advocate who actively performs the advocate roles in order to benefit from EGCC programs
(3) The general responsibilities of an EGCC Advocate include:
(a) receive all mailings (b) report the work of the Council
(c) provide leadership in the congregation for any project of the Council
(d) alert people in the congregation of EGCC resources and events
(e) share EGCC information with the congregation when made available
encourage finance committee to include EGCC in the annual budget
(g) include EGCC in any corporate times of prayer
(h) serve as a delegate to EGCC Biennial Assembly
Advocate Criteria
� Have a desire to promote the kingdom of God by serving others
� Have a good working relationship with congregation leaders and other church networks
� Agree with, and support the vision of EGCC
� Personally pray for EGCC, the board, and its continued effectiveness in the church and Garifuna Communities
