J's Review
Quickie Review: 4/5 Stars
The movie's humor was very crude and slapstick, which took
away a little from the actually story line of Henry falling in love with Lucy.
It was slightly predictable (warning: spoiler ahead) in the end, but instead of
Lucy remembering Henry and regaining her short-term memory, she was to be
constantly reminded that they were together via video tape. This was a proper
ending, which otherwise could have ruined a perfectly good movie. The acting was
very good; however, Rob Schneider almost stole all his scenes away from Adam
Sandler. But that is expected when you have two great comedians in one film,
right? This is a must see for Adam Sandler fans and Drew Barrymore fans. Sean
Astin's character was played somewhat poorly, but nevertheless, the acting
overall was fine. Now I typically don't like chick flicks, but this movie was
not your typical Cinderella story.
