Beverly R: The Sun Will Shine Tomorrow
From the first time I met "Bev", I knew she was a very special lady with a heart of gold.
A warm smile lights up the room whenever I see my dear sweet friend. She is a mother to three adult children and our son calls her "Grandma Bev".  Bev suffers from progressive Multiple Sclerosis, but no matter what time of day, she is always ready to enjoy conversation with company.

On the day we arrived at her son's house, Bev was playing canasta with her family and a friend. Her oldest son was helping Bev make the next move. Bev has mobility issues and although unable to grasp objects, her wit and mind are still intact. "No cheating, don't look at my cards" she says to her opponets. She cuts a grin and laughs as we ask who is winning.

From time to time, I have been able to sit down with Bev and just talk. She relays to me that her symptoms caught her by surprise and had some vision problems during her pregnancies. We talk about difficulties with moving around and are able to understand where the other is coming from.

Bev tells me she truly enjoys sitting and watching movies with her family and friends. "I love Titanic. I have seen it so many times, but could watch it over and over." She also enjoys books and devotionals.

She is an inspiration to me, because she reminds me that "no matter what, there is always tomorrow."
