"Nature gives to every time and season
some beauties of its own;
and from morning to night,
as from the cradle to the grave,
it is but a succession of changes
so gentle and easy
that we can scarcely
mark their progress."
~ Charles Dickens (1812-1870) ~

~~What Autumn in New England
means to me ~~

In Autumn, the leaves start turning colors.
Its like a second spring when
every leaf is a flower.

You can visit an apple orchard
and go on a hay ride.

In Autumn its fun to watch the squirrels collecting acorns.

My husband Bobs favorite past time
is to watch football games!

Rake up leaves and jump into the piles.

You can watch the birds migrating south for the winter .

The weather turns crisp and the rain turns cold .

Go to Harvest Fairs or Festivals.

Go on a walk and collect
colorful leaves and pine cones.

The veggie gardens are ready for harvest,

Bonfires

Fresh baked Apple pies.

Halloween and Thanksgiving are holidays to enjoy.

It's A Lovely World

It's a lovely world wherever you look~
From the sky of blue to the babbling brook,
The old rail fence that is quaint and dear~
Mother Nature's charms since the autumn's here.
It's a precious world with it's gladness rare,
With this day sumpreme and the night so fair,
The sunshine bright on leaves of gold,
With hope and faith as the days unfold.
It's a charming old world with its smiles and tears,
With tomorrow's dreams that can banish fears;
A peaceful morn in the wake of the dawn
With a world of joy we can gaze upon.
It's a lovely old world,if we'd make it such,
And see the work of the Master's touch,
The smile of God as we go our way~~
In our hearts we know it's a lovely day.
