We're Back Mr A…

"So is this it?" Greg asked almost nervously.
"Well if the address I found in Dan's electronic organiser is correct…then yes," Ryan perked.
"Who's gonna ring the doorbell?" Brad asked.
"Col," Ryan said, nudging Colin forward.
Colin mumbled something and then pressed the button: the doorbell rang loudly.
"Well there's an irony," Ryan giggled. His giggling, set the others off, but they quickly regained their composure when the door opened.
"My god are we being invaded?" Clive mused, looking shocked.
          "Hey Mr A," Greg beamed.
"What are you all doing here?" Clive asked, totally dumb struck.
"We wanted to talk to you," Colin replied.
Clive looked blankly and then perked, "well you'd better come in then." Clive led the men into the living room, where there was a roaring log fire. "I'll make some tea and then you can tell me, well whatever it is you’re here for," he smiled and disappeared into a the kitchen.
Once everyone was sipping hot tea (and Clive had sat down and stopped fussing), Ryan looked almost despairingly at Clive.
          "We got fired," he announced.
          "What?" Clive gasped.
"It’s true Mr A…Dan decided we weren't right for the show anymore," Greg sighed.
"And what? He just terminated your contracts?" Clive asked.
          "Yep," Ryan nodded.
"How much notice did he give you?" Clive continued.
"It kind of went along the lines of…bye go away and tell the others," Ryan grumbled.
"That's far from legal," Clive spat.
"Yeah, but who are we to argue," Brad shrugged.
"So is the show finished or…what's happening?" Clive queried.
"We've been replaced by amateurs," Chip sulked.
"Actually…that's the other reason we wanted to see you," Colin piped up.
"I'm not doing anything illegal," Clive mused.
"Are you saying we're here to corrupt you?" Greg jeered.
          "More than likely," Clive laughed.
"We kinda had this idea about starting our own show," Ryan perked.
"I think that's a great idea," Clive smiled.
"We want to do it here and we want you to be the host," Colin chimed in.
"And what type of show would this be?" Clive asked curiously.
          "Improvisation of course," Greg stated.
"So basically a Whose Line spin off," Clive mused.
"Yeah, but better than Whose Line cos it will have us and the other originals," Ryan said coyly
"Actually that's what we want to call it…The Originals," Colin enthused.
Clive leaned back in his armchair and scanned the faces of the five men.
"You seem to have thought it all out," he announced.
"We have, and we're really serious about it," Ryan nodded.
"So what do you think?" Brad asked.
"Leave it with me…I'll talk to a few people I know, see what I can do," Clive smiled.
"Love you Mr A," Greg cooed.
"You don't need to suck up to me Greg," Clive jeered.
"You're so much more fun than Drew," Greg perked.
"And you don't allow bald jokes," Colin scorned.
"Now, now Captain Hair…no need to be tetchy," Brad mused.
          "Oh haha," Colin hissed.
Clive shook his head. "I'd forgotten how mental you lot actually are."
"Aw you missed us," Ryan cooed.
"Of course he did," Greg chimed in.
"Yes Greg I dream about you endlessly," Clive sarced.
          "So does he," Chip grinned.
Greg gave Chip a disgruntled look.
"So when you going to talk to the people you know?" Brad asked, looking at Clive.
"Give me a minute to digest all this first," Clive gasped.
"Is it going to be a long minute?" Ryan asked.
"Or are you sticking to the whole 60 second thing?" Colin chimed in.
"This is the most enthusiastic I've ever seen you lot," Clive breathed.
"Oh come on…we were enthusiastic back in the good old days," Greg mused.
Clive raised an eyebrow. "Of course you were Greg," he said unconvincingly.
"You haven't made that call yet," Chip piped up.
"There must be an ulterior motive somewhere," Clive said curiously, "for you lot to be so bloody demanding."
"Let’s call it revenge shall we," Ryan mused.
          "Clive stop procrastinating," Greg ordered.
"Ok, ok…I'm going," Clive chuckled as he disappeared out of the room.
