Drew walked past a wall on the perimeter of the room with the rotating picture of Mimi. He’d been searching for Oswald, Lewis and Kate for the last 40 minutes, and had come to the conclusion the only place they could be was there. So it came as little surprise that when he arrived all the ghosts were seated around the perimeter on chairs and that in the middle of the great circle sat a restrained Oswald, Lewis and Kate. The rings had started to spin like a gyroscope, and were picking up speed every minute.
"So what now?" Drew figured Chesterfield would be loitering around somewhere.
"Now you must make a decision," Chesterfield replied, standing next to Drew.
"What kind of decision, man?" Drew asked.
"Well perhaps we should have a little history lesson first," Chesterfield mused, puffing on a cigar.
"A history lesson? You mean you’re actually going to tell me the truth about this place," Drew scowled.
"In some form yes…you see Drew…" Chesterfield began pacing as he spoke, "This place was constructed by the late, great Mr Lauder…it was his dream that former sitcom actors, improvers and bad comedians should have a place to rest their disgruntled souls…"
"What’s this got to do with my friends?" Drew huffed.
Chesterfield chuckled. "What you are standing in is a machine Drew, a machine that with the aid of 13 ghosts opens up the ‘Eye of Comedy’." You jump into the ‘Eye of Comedy, Drew and you my friend will not only become the most popular and humorous guy on earth…you will attract the ladies more than you could ever have imagined."
"13 ghosts…but there’s only 12 sitting around the…oh hold on…if I jump in there I die!" Drew gasped.
"I never said the plan was perfect…everything has its drawbacks you know," Chesterfield grumbled.
