"So where we going now?" Kate looked to Drew.
Drew was staring down the corridor behind Lewis and Oswald. "Well I don’t know, but we had better move quick." The last bit rushed, he was pointing down the corridor where all the doors (which he hadn’t noticed before) were staring to shut.
Kate jumped, more at the fact that the wall she was leaning on was moving than Drew’s words. "Damn… I need to use the bathroom again," she mumbled.
They all hurried down the corridor in the direction that Larry and Wick had been. Drew lagging behind (understandably), Kate, Lewis and Oswald flew out of the end of the corridor into a room at the end. Drew, however, was still a few good metres behind them and the corridor was starting to get too narrow for him to move. Only a metre from the exit, he became stuck, and the wall continued to close on him.
Kate gasped and turned away, unable to watch, Lewis screwed up his face and turned away slightly also, trying to block out the scream he knew was coming. Oswald just watched in morbid horror and awe.
Drew could feel the unyielding wall starting to crush him into its counterpart; he knew it couldn’t be long before it flattened him like a flapjack… Great now he was starting to feel hungry. The wall seemed to be taking forever; it had gotten as far as squeezing him up against the glass but didn’t seem to be moving any further. He could hear a groan, permeating through the glass, something was wrong. The wall seemed to purr back into action, squashing him a bit more but didn’t get very far before it stared groaning again. By now realising something was going on, Lewis had turned back to the proceedings and was watching with fascination as the wall gave a final cough, stopped moving and retracted a few centimetres. Lewis and Oswald quickly moved forward to help manoeuvre Drew out into the room, while Kate snuck a peek to see why she hadn’t heard any bone crunching and blood curdling screams, only to realise Drew was fine.
"Boy that was close," Drew breathed.
"Yeah, good thing you ate those extra three servings of dessert last night," Lewis smirked, finishing another bottle of beer, dropping it on the ground and opening another one.
"Give me one of those, I think I deserve it," Drew remarked, grabbing the bottle out of Lewis’ hand.
"Great, now where are we?" Kate commented in frustration, looking around the sealed room.
