Next, making sure the lettering is the right way, slide the band over the chick's three front toes. |

To begin, lubricate the chick's foot and leg with a water base lubricant (we used an antibiotic ointment). |

If the back toe is caught, gently use a toothpick to pull it free. |

Slide the band over the back toe to the ankle joint. |
